It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Frustrations with Buyers/Sellers who don't bother....

Jan 6, 2011

    1. I've had people not leave feedback for me and when that happens, I don't leave feedback for them either. I've had people not even bother to PM me to tell me they've received the items I shipped to them and the only way I know they've arrived is through tracking the package myself ~_~

That asides though, generally I will always leave feedback even if you have 10+ pages of it already. I got used to doing it from shopping for and selling stuff on Ebay, so leaving feedback - to me - is somewhat part and parcel, force of habit, etc. I don't mind if you don't leave me feedback as like I said above, I simply won't leave you any feedback either. What I don't like is when people ask me to leave them feedback (which I do) then promptly forget to return the courtesy.

    2. That is pretty rude... if a transaction went well, then say so! It encourages others who are looking to buy/trade with you, or welcome you into a swap or GO, incentive for doing so! I've never had it happen here (I don't think...), but it happens all the time to me on eBay and drives me NUTS!

    3. Certainly has happened to me a few times. There are specific members that don't leave feedbacks when I had dealt with them for more than once. Every time I still leave feedback for them because I still think it is the courteous thing to do and 2 wrongs don't make it right. I even pm these members to let them know that I had left feedback for them and please do the same for me. However the result is no different. Still no response or feedback. I think that is extremely rude. When they come to me again later on to buy something else, I was tempted to tell them that I don't want to deal with you again ......but I figured not everyone thinks the way I think so I let it slide. Maybe they forgot or they are busy. I still am not happy when dealing with such members though I must say. Because I just wouldn't leave a transaction like this personally. I cannot expect everyone to act a certain way but it does not take away my right to feel offended. That is me. It also makes me unhappy when I see it happen on y!j and auction sites when bidders who won an item but leaves no feedback. No sellers like these type of buyers. Myself included. It is incredibly rude.

    4. A couple of times. First, I want to say, I always, always leave detailed feedback for the seller the first hour I've gotten the item and instantly PM'd the seller and tell her/him that I have gotten the item and kindly told them to leave me a feedback as well. Some sellers are super nice about it and got back to me with a PM and leave me a nice feedback. Sometimes, there's no PM but there's a feedback for me, so it's okay with me!

But I recently dealt with a person, I am kinda frustrated about it. I bought an item, I got it, instantly left a positive feedback for her/him and PM'd her/him about it. No reply, no feedback. A few days later, I sent another, friendly PM. Still no response. ANOTHER couple of days later, I've sent another, still friendly PM. Finally a feedback. What angers me is that her/him feedback for me was only a few words like "Nice to deal with." while the feedback I left for her was at least two-three sentence. >.> I know it's kinda a petty thing, but I really appreciate a briefly detailed feedback!

    5. It happened to me again! D: I even said in my reply that I was going to leave feedback and said please do the same for me. It's been about 4 days now and I know they've been on and can see it. Very frustrating.

    6. I always leave feedback for anyone on DoA that I've had a transaction with and rather than waiting to see if they will leave it for me, I just ask them to do so. So far, everyone has been happy to oblige.

    7. I've had a number of transactions where folks haven't left feedback for me. Typically I'll wait until I have my item, or if they contact me to say they have theres (depending on who is buying) and then I'll mention that I'm leaving feedback for them, would they please do so for me if they think things went well.
This usually has a decent response. but I know I would have double the feedback I have now if everyone had commented.... I look at it this way though, even though I don't have a lot of feedback now, it's the same as credit! you can always build it. After all not Everyone forgets ><

    8. I prefer an exchange of feedback, but I don't sweat it if it doesn't happen.

For me.. if I'm the buyer, I always leave feedback when I receive the item, to say how the transaction went, and also to let the seller know I did, in fact, get the item. But because I do it like that, if I'm the seller, I don't leave feedback until the buyer leaves it for me, because until then, I'm not sure they received the item. If I don't know if they've received the item or not, I can't consider the transaction closed.

As for straight up asking for feedback, I never do. I just sit here quietly and hope they leave it without needing me to ask for it.
      Maybe that's why my feedback thread is so short... .^^;

    9. When I sell/buy from someone I always leave feedback, because it's polite and encourages other Doa members to deal with someone. Feeds are useful in order to know if a certain person is reliable or not.
I seldom buy second hand - I prefer dealing directly with the company because of the emotional problems of private sellers regarding shipping to my country. First, I thought that this was the real reason, but I have noticed now, by reading your comments, that missing feeds is almost a generalized bad habit.
I have no feedback for more than a half of the transactions I have dealt here. So, people who do not buy/sell often like me have very few feeds. This may let some people down, because if you have plenty, other buyers/sellers will be more likely to deal with you.
Feedback is important, because it helps to gain a good reputation. So, when people don't leave me feedback, I always wonder if there was some kind of problem and - for some reason - they don't want to tell.
Perhaps, some buyers and sellers are more likely to leave feedback when they got scammed or the transaction went bad. Yeah, they don't care till they get damaged. That's not right, in my opinion - and really frustrating.

    10. I have had maybe one or two not leave me any feedback and it's rather disappointing esp' when you have gone through the effort to leave it for them!....it's nice to get good feedback and it lets others know whether to buy/ sell with you or not......I get loads of good feedback on ebay but it really annoys me when some can't be bothered to leave it for you....or some leave you negative feedback when you did nothing wrong!!

    11. I've had this happen a couple of times. It was only for smaller items, so even though it irked me, it didn't bother me enough to pursue the other people about it. Some people I've found also just take awhile to leave feedback. I guess I'm just pretty laid-back about it.:sweat

    12. Though I haven't earned the access to the market place, I have had that happen on ebay and etsy. After a while, I just stopped caring. I have all good feedback when I do get it, I don't mind.

    13. It's easy to forget to leave feedback here on DoA, because they don't bug you mercilessly to do it like they do in eBay. I try to leave feedback after each transaction and appreciate it if the other party does the same. I once had a very frustrating transaction with a layaway, and never heard a word after I shipped the doll. Postal tracking tells me it arrived and was signed for, but I never heard from the buyer. Now THAT was frustrating!!

    14. I make a point to let sellers know that I will leave feedback as soon as I receive the item when they ship it. I don't ask them to do the same for me, but I make a point to let them know that I intend to leave it for them.

I've had people who have bought from me do the same for me- and I didn't mind it at all.

I try to keep really good communication whenever I'm in a transaction. And after I leave feedback? I let them know I have and politely ask them to leave some for me. I've never had any issues, but I may in the future. Who knows. I think it's the right thing to do- to warn members of bad traders and to encourage them to buy from the reliable sources.

    15. I also ask for feedback and I haven't always gotten it. One frustrating experience was purchasing my first doll on the MP....I never received feedback for the layaway, even though payments were always early and on time. Despite having to open a problem seller thread, I did leave her neutral/leaning towards positive feedback, since (once she finally shipped) the doll was perfect. I always leave feedback because its the decent thing to do, especially in a forum like this where we pretty much have to trust each other. I just keep track of who I purchased from and our communications, that way if someone isn't sure I can point them to the people I've dealt with for references I guess.

Which reminds me, if I've bought something from you and haven't left you feedback let me know....

    16. Yikes, I am so sorry I did not leave you feedback for that :( I didn't even realize!

As obviously illustrated above, I almost always forget to leave feedback. I'm so stupidly busy that unless someone PMs me saying, "HEY YOU SENT ME THE WRONG THING" (thankfully this has never happened before ;)) I assume that everything has gone well after the item has left my hands. Every few months though I try and go through my own feedback thread and see if there's people who have left me some that I have not yet returned.

So, like others in this thread have said... I would absolutely not mind if someone PMed me reminding me to leave them feedback :). I don't mean to be rude or inconsiderate by forgetting to leave feedback. It's an important resource! Especially for those new to the marketplace and just starting to build up their feedback.

    17. I try to remember to leave feedback over here, but in general I don't really care much. The transaction is the important part; feedback is a bonus, not a right.

What gets me is when people get pesty and keep begging for feedback. If it gets past two or three begs, they get a pointed email about how would they like the feedback I leave for annoying beggers.

    18. I view leaving feedback as a community service, rather than a personal thing. How are you supposed to know what a buyer/seller is like if there's no feedback? It doesn't matter if they have half a page or 20 pages already. I've seen plenty of cases where a person had perfect feedback up until recently, then had some kind of meltdown and turned into the buyer/seller from hell. If there's no recent feedback, you have no way of knowing what's happening.

    19. I always remember to leave feedback (Simply because I don't have too many transactions)
But a couple people never left me any feedback ^^; I let it go because it isn't a huge deal to me, and I don't want to accidentally bother someone by sending them a polite PM. If someone sent me a PM I wouldn't mind really, as long as it was polite. :)

    20. I guess feedback is really important. I haven't used the DoA marketplace yet but if I do, ill be sure to leave feedback. I always felt feedback was an optional and courteous thing to do but not required. While it still isn't, I guess people see feedback as really important. So ill be sure to keep this in mind :)
