1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Gender Preference?

Feb 16, 2017

    1. I agree. I’m the same way.

    2. i prefer boy dolls. but i guess i'm not good at sticking to just one thing since i really like the girls i do have.

    3. I honestly have no preference, but I kept telling myself that I wanted to get a male BJD as my first BJD. Now that I keep looking, I want to buy a female more! I think I need to start thinking of some ideas with the ones I have saved on my wishlist!

    4. Males, since I have more male characters. Females can have pretty dresses and makeup, only thing I can't make any of those ... :D
So I have more male dolls.

    5. I mostly prefer female sculpts, but there are some companies whose male sculpts I all love and whose female sculpts I don't like much. I guess it's a certain look I go for.

    6. I just love cutesy and feminine aesthetics, which is also what I tend to with my art, but I also prefer dolls with flat chests, so some of them could be considered to have a childlike androgyny.

    7. My crew will be all male, I personally think male dolls are easier to style than females. :3nodding:

    8. . I hardly find girl sculpt (and body) I really like, but there are many boys I like to have. I think one girl is enough trouble. First I don't want any girl, than it changed to one only. But anything happens, I am sure that I will have more boys than girls. I just like them better.

    9. I'm heavily biased for guys, so all my dolls are male. I thought about getting a girl doll then I thought about having to get them high heeled feet then having to change them (I don't like fighting with hooks and stretchy string more than I have to...).

    10. I love girls! I want to buy a boy, but is too hard to buy new clothes for him.

    11. I started with a girl - but the male dolls are calling my name. I see a male vampire in my future. Pale skin, dark eyes, slim, well dressed but a bit old-fashioned.

    12. I've definitely had more boys than girls over the years but I think I prefer girls. Even one of my two current boys has a girl head (Leekeworld Mabel) and the other is pretty dang androgynous (Migidoll Owen). I guess I just like pretty dolls? My boys and girls are both pretty!

    13. I like male dolls aesthetically, but I prefer to own female dolls. My favorite part of the hobby is the clothes and I don’t find male dolls nearly as enjoyable to dress-up. Sometimes I wish I preferred male dolls, it would probably make the hobby a lot more affordable!

    14. I tend to have a lot of effeminate male dolls. I'm not sure why, but I love flat chests/shapelessness with beautiful feminine things like lace and fluff. Just an aesthetic I guess hahaha!

    15. Definitely prefer girl dolls more! :)
I like dressing them up, and I connect with them better. (Well, I never had a boy doll, but I know this! :))
With girls, I can dress them up in any kind of clothes I can't wear myself

    16. for a while i didn't see why so many liked the male sculpts, and was first only interested in looking at the female sculpts, but now i am hoping to find a male. I just haven't seen one yet that i want to start saving for but i know a lot of female sculpts that i desire muahahah.

    17. I only have female dolls. I want a male doll but hesitate because I love female sculpts. I haven't seen very many male dolls that make me swoon the way all my girls have. Still looking for my perfect male though.

    18. i prefer male sculpts for some reason.
i dont really know why but i might be able to relate and connect more with male charecters.

    19. I honestly thought I'd have both genders but I ended up loving males so much more. I was planning on going fifty fifty but I have a hard time finding girls i would love and there are so many guys I love. I have one girl. I love her. But I probably will always have more boys.

    20. I prefer girls as the aesthetic choices are wider. I collect MSD-size and boys that fit my preference (mature face, no fashion doll proportions) can pretty much be counted with one hand and have some fingers left... That being said, I have both, currently four boys (three different sculpts) and seven girls.
