1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. well.. i checked but they are flat feet not arched... im so sorry...
I will keep my eyes open for them for you.. hugs, De

    2. Well, I have one more payment on my Deneb and then it's a waiting game. Because of the economy I've been doubling up on my dolls. I also wanted a female Vega but there was no way I could afford both complete dolls. I'm currently waiting on the arrival of my blank Vega head which I'll work on to kill the time while I wait for Deneb. I want them to be rival fashion models, so it works out. These two characters wouldn't be caught dead on the Runway at the same time anyway, LOL!

    3. Cooooooool... i can't wait to see pics of these two rival models.. awesome character idea.

    4. my Saiph just arrived yesterday (rather suddenly - and barley three days after my Migma O_o)

so i'll link my picy as its them together. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6057/6267767679_685d8b8e42_o.jpg

Izanami (Saiph) will be going to a friends for a visit and a dress fitting. but i already adore her :3 she needs an epic re-stringing... she is so loose... but i cant wait until i can face-up her etc. :3

    5. love love the pics... thank you.... She is beautiful.

    6. I love my Vega's. Have two. Sanded down the neck so it's not so long. Also wired her. 12 guage solid.

    7. Cool... you sanded down the neck... is it noticeable?
Does it make the head look more proportionate to the body?
Im thinking of doing that exact thing.
Can you explain the wired thing?
Is it just one section of wire in each part of the body..
like one strand of wire up the arm across to the other arm?
I always wanted to try this wire thing... DO you keep the
body strung as well? Do you keep the insulation on the wire?

      Thanks De

    8. The sanding isn't noticed since head covers it. I used sanding sponges after a VERY careful shaving with xacto knife. Always wear a mask (the kind for dry wall at the very least) and use water on sponges or get wet sandpaper. Cover up and vac too. You can do it without unstringing if careful. Or take apart and sand under water. You don't want to breath it in. Wiring is easy. You don't unstring, just bend it in u shape (legs and arms...two pieces) and feed through. (Bend at "waist" and feed from inside. Can ease it through.) Easy. I've seen it on internet in several places, but wasn't that clear, and they say 14 (solid), probably because small BJD....12 (solid) much better. 12 holds pose. 14 is whimpy. The wire is electrical (plastic coated, I picked white for obvious reasons) and can be bought by the foot. 28-38 cents a foot depending on where you buy. Keep plastic on. Will post photo tomorrow. With yard stick next too. She is shorter obviously but looks a lot better! May sand down a smidge more but I prefer a little too long rather then too short.

    9. Thank you for the info. When i asked if the sanding was noticeable...
i was talking about the size difference with the head and neck.
Im sure we'd all like to see a pic. The neck length compared to
the head is WAY noticeable to me. SO, i hope after a good sanding
the head will have more accurate looking proportion's.
I think that is why I like my custom size head. I didn't have to change
      anything on the body.

I do have some of that wire you talked about.
Im going to try that tonight. Who knows.... I might be at it all night.
Stuffing wire up ALL my dolls arms and legs. (As well as my son's dolls)
so again, thanks for the info.. very helpful. ( :

    10. Paulajtm, thank you soooo much for the info on wiring. The simple approach of feeding from the waist (at the torso joint) totally eluded me. I too am headed for my speaker-wire stash now. I actually don't have that much trouble with my Sabik (I do LOVE those hip pins, tho), but some of my other dolls can certainly use some wire.

    11. Glad to know it's helpful! Now I have to figure out how to post pictures of my Eleanor/Vega. I just did Flickr soooooo.....

Still a smidge longer then I want but I will wait a bit before trimming her neck a bit more. Looks ok when she wears a wig so I'm in no real hurry.

Anyway, that's a shorter neck on Vega. Btw, I do historical costumes so that's why I put her in a "shorty" wig. I put a hat over. 1830's style.

    12. WOW... she looks really good. It is noticeable enough to say WOW! LOL!
You are right... a little more and I'd say the proportion would be right on.

I don't need the wire for my Mecha's... but my other dolls can stand
to be a little more stiff. Mostly the MSD's. All my tall dolls stand really well.

SO, thank you.... the sanding the neck thing with pics and the wire thing...
were all very helpful.... Hugs, De

    13. She's gorgeous! That shorter neck really looks good. And I love the wig.

    14. Thank you! She is a joy. I have wanted a doll like her since I was 12. Didn't make dolls like her in the middle-ages when I was young. lol!

    15. The middle ages. *laugh*

She looks great. ^__^ Do you have any shots of her in one of the 'historical costumes' you mentioned?

    16. Will have to take one since I'm not a picture taker as a matter of course. I'm working on another costume so her other costumes are put away. My sewing/craft area is a 8 by 8 room so things have to be stored away when no being used. Can dig one out in a day or so though.

    17. Ok... i finished stuffing wire in all the MSD size dolls and what few SD boys I have.
I tried to wire my Domuya females, but the holes are WAY to small. Is just big enough for the string.
The BBB and Resinsoul have huge holes so used 10 gage and 14 in the others.
They all stand like rocks and Im so excited.... thank you again. I appreciate the explanation
on how, why, what and where...with the wire ( :

    18. my new pepstar faceup [IMG]

    19. That's a wonderful picture! Looks fantastic! Glad I could help with the wire and stuff. lol!

Will have to wait on costume pictures. Been busy as all get out. Haven't even had a chance to work on current project for my Eleanor. I'm in charge of a Raffle for charity and I've had a devil of a time with the printers. Deadline looming rather large. Why is it they wait until the last minute? Beyond me.

    20. These are the exact same things I'm planning to do with my Deneb when she finally gets here.
As far as the high heeled feet go. I just modded a pair of the molded heels to use as feet until I find the elusive heeled bare feet. I'm also redesigning several pair of the molded heels.

By the way! Thanks for the wiring tips Paulajtm! This is really going to help a lot!

She looks amazing! You did a really great job on her. I'd love to see her in one of your costumes.

She looks great DeKaady! What eyes are those?
