1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

General Mecha Angel discussion thread!

Jul 21, 2011

    1. General question about the bodies. I got a friend to tighten my Mecha Angel body for me and we noticed that there are circle indents and in the pelvic piece and a hole for, what we assume is a peg or something in the legs where they join the pelvic piece.

Is it supposed to be missing for some reason or is it strange that I don't have that 'peg' ? Any ideas? I can see how it'd help with him sitting and standing. Even tightened his legs still 'swing' since they don't lock in place.

    2. They are supposed to be included with the instruction and Soom booklet :O!

    3. :O I guess I should message the girl I bought the body from and hope she still has them.. ><

I was wondering why something like that was there.. and why even tightened he's still seems loose simply because of the legs swinging. I hope she still has them..

    4. Even with the pegs mine is still very wobbly in the legs.

    5. Really? Well then maybe it isn't such a bad thing without? I'm assuming his legs would pose better with the pegs though?

    6. Really better :O!! It is awesome to make him sit :3

    7. I guess that'd explain why he flops back then. I can only get him to sit by slouching.. and a slouching Snape doesn't quite emit the attitude he should be giving.

Though currently the only clothes I have to fit him is a lace top and sweat pants.. so that doesn't quite suit at the moment either.

    8. I have never used the pegs on my Sabik (they seemed really tricky if he's wearing clothes) but I wired him and hot glue sueded all his joints as well, which really improves the posing. He is still one of the trickier dolls to get into standing poses, but at least now his arms and legs cooperate a bit more.

Congrats on all the new arrivals (and soon to arrivals)! Its nice to see that the Mecha's are still around, I personally love their imposing skinny size, and Sabik is so beautiful and versatile.

This thread reminded me that Mr. Have is waay overdue for some photo time... This is his most recent pic, but maybe I'll take him out this weekend :D

    9. egura - Hmmm... nope. I recall a color photo of the sculptor standing to the side of a road, smiling at the camera... lots of green grass...

      Mr. Have is just awesome!

I have only hot glue sueded my Sabik's arms and upper torso, the rest works fine as-is, and his pegs are still in the baggie with the paperwork. I don't think I've ever given them a try... hmm...

    10. aernath, hmmm... then I'll dig some more ^^ thanks for the discription about that picture^^

candygears, I'm looking forward for the new pics of Mr. Have, he's fantastic!!!:D

This week I resealed my big boy, also hot glued and finally wired him^^ Now he stands by himself again, and now he can support his younger soul-brother... usually it was opposite, the little one was helping him to stand during photo-shooting :sweat

    11. egura~Really nice photo!!!

    12. Thank you very much! This is most recent photo of my boys :3 I'm glad you like it :)

    13. Candygears: Mr Have is fantastic! I seen the photoset and was in love with his look!

I'll keep the wiring and sueding in mind, I need to be getting wire for another doll for posing anyhow.

    14. Just for fun :) I never though this day would come... until I hot glued and wired him XD

    15. Egura, your guy looks great! Are those Soom jointed hands on him or a different brand? If another, which one? They are a really nice fit.

    16. How thick a wire should be used? Because, honestly, my Sabik's body drives me INSANE! And not in the good way. XD

    17. AnitaS, Thank you! Yes, those are Soom jointed hands^^ I find them aesthetically best looking among all jointed-hands.

malvagitabella, at least mine was the same thickness as the string (or maybe just slightly ticker), the wire I used was really flexible, even thought it was really challenging to put the wire through the knee to calf part ^^'
But I'm definitely not an expert in wiring, I did this for the first time...

    18. Both my boys are a floppy mess.....I wish I knew how to wire, tighten or hot glue...those little pegs for the legs dont work at all on my Corvi, but they work nicely on my Sabik. Now awaiting my 3rd Antares, I hope I won't have all these issues with him too :(
