1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

General Mecha Angel discussion thread!

    1. Actually, I think this pretty much sums it up for anyone who collects BJDs, LOL! I think we all have mini "Breakdowns" until we get the dolls. That's pretty much why I forget to take pictures. I think it's actually a good idea to take pics in case of an discrepancies.

    2. So I wanted to share my newest girl with you guys - she's a Soom Saiph hybrid on the new Dollstown 18 girl body. I've been in love with Saiph for years, but her original body didn't do much for me, and I haven't loved any of the other hybrid combos... but for me, this body is perfect! It keeps her tall and well proportioned, but is a bit more slender and graceful. I can't wait to paint her and make some crazy outfits :D

    3. candygears- your saiph hybrid is lovely! i love my vega, but she is heavy....

    4. Thanks dianemedford! I do like the original mecha girls - they're amazingly impressive and its great that such a unique body exists. But for my Saiph, I needed something a little daintier ;) She's still super tall at over 70cm, and weighs almost as much as my Sabik.

Here's a full body shot, in case anyone's curious (I know lots of people are looking for hybrid options for the mecha's.)

    5. aaaaaaa! I can't wait to get my Bellatrix! I love big dolls, so it's going to be fantastic sewing for a female this tall! I'm so anxious!

Thanks for sharing your pics candygears. Gives me more to look forward to!

    6. thanks candygears- the whole body picture really shows how nice she looks on the body! her proportions are good. i think my vega's head is too big to go on a slimmer body... here she is next to an iplehouse eid lahela. she really is a big doll!

    7. Whoa that is a huuuuge difference! Even with the hands and feet... doesn't look like there's any room for hybridization for Mecha Angels then.... I wonder if any 1/3rd male jointed hands might work on an MA female...

    8. Candygears, your hybrid is just fantastic; that new Dollstown body is a work of art and solid enough to really work for Saiph. Oriental skin?

    9. Oh she is gorgeous!!! Darn to bad they don't make her anymore. She is definately a must have.

    10. anyone know where I can buy heeled shoes that will fit a mecha angel girl, aside from dollmore?

    11. My Soom Bellatrix arrived yesterday and I am now officially hooked on these dolls! I love the huge size. lol Just wish I knew where I could find more clothes for her since I don't sew. She is going to be wearing alot of stretchy improvised outfits until I do! lol

    12. Congrats jakayd! Would you mind if I asked when you ordered her? I know I probably have a long way to wait since I only ordered mine on the 16th, but I'm curious how other people's waits are going.

*is jealous. I ordered Bellatrix too and I want her now! T_T gaaaah!*

    13. I have a question I'm hoping somebody can answer... I want a Deneb, but on a boy body.

Would I be better off with MA boy body or a SG boy body?

I know some of the girl heads can work on SG boy bodies, but I wasn't to sure what size the Deneb head is. I mean if it's large then I'd have to go with a MA body but if it's on the small size I can go with a SG....

      I appreciate your input~

    14. I own a Deneb on a boy body. He's on a Super Gem Heliot body, which is slightly longer in the leg so he's got a little more length to go with his long face. He fits in well with other Super Gems:http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...Bix-Chrom-Corvi-Deneb-Light-Onyx-Shadow-Onyx)
The Deneb head is smaller than MA boy heads, but it's not bad on an MA body. I just have a lot of other dolls in the house (like Volks) that have larger heads, so his slightly big-headed look works well in our collection.

    15. doh... I've seen your boy! I forgot he was a Deneb... I shouldn't post when I'm half asleep.

Do you by chance have any photos of him nekkid? or without a wig?

      Thanks!

    16. I don't think so, but I do have these shots of him in briefs with a really close-cropped wig. This was back when he had a Sard human body though so the legs are a little shorter and more muscular than what he has now.

    17. TY Dirili. I didn't buy her directly from Soom. A friend of mine did and when she finally got her she couldn't bond with her so lucky for me I was able to do a short law a way and get her. :)

    18. Lucky you! Now I'm even more jealous hehe.

    19. Hello all! Long time no chat. Not only was I stressed about moving, then moving, and then unpacking, but I am just NOW starting on getting my Sabik, Mr. Brightside, complete. He has a faceup now, I'm so excited. :D But, now, unfortunately, it's time to get his body into shape to make it more manageable. So, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I could do, especially for the thigh joint. Would hotglue sueding work? ACTUAL sueding? And, has anyone tried stringing their dolls with thicker elastic? If so, did it work out and what size?

Sorry for all the questions, I just had no idea where to ask them and I can't find the answers, especially to the thigh joint connundrum. :D

    20. I have hot-glue-sueded my Antares, also I tightened up his elastic - used the same stuff he came with, just added an extra knot! I found he's a lot better now, he stands much better.
