1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Getting rid of the MSD?

Sep 4, 2005

    1. The first BJD I saw was a Hound - and I have to say he was totally amazing. But the first doll I purchased was a mini, for two reasons - price and lifestyle. I love creating sets and creating stories for the dolls, and I don't have enough room to set up an SD sized stage. So, I thought that I was settling for what I could afford. Then my AOD Wang zi Siobhan popped out of the shipping box, and we became friends! 9 minis later, I'm delighted with my choice. The only thing I would change would be to have mini guys with adult faces. The bodies are fine, but the faces make me feel like a cradle robber!

    2. I kinda get what you mean. I adore msd size dolls but I often wish they make more... men like faces if you get me. They all look really young

    3. Personally, I prefer dolls that are smaller because I enjoy that 'doll-like' size. The only reason I found myself purchasing an SD was because I fell inlove with that particular sculpt I saw.

I think some people like a range of sizes and they like seeing that diversity in their collections. I think others want a more unified look, especially if their dolls represent characters in a story. It is true, there does seem to be more things available for SD sizes than smaller ones. One of my complaints is that I would like to buy more mature looking clothing for my "kid size doll".
