    1. She's here! While her resin has yellowed quite a bit, the enamel topcoat (or whatever it is) masks it very well. The topcoat itself has yellowed some where the kimono was open, most likely from being displayed for years.

      I'll post more pictures and stats soon.

      The Mandarake listing? Nah if it's on the main site it is fixed price, they have a separate auction site (I don't usually browse it so I'm not sure if they tend to sell dolls there or not; they don't have a 'dolls' section over there as opposed to the huge one on their main site, so I'm guessing, not too often?)

    9. I got one fairly recently off of Mandarake, and I had her in an MSD sized dress for a while. I haven't tried slim MSD clothing. Her head looks like it's made for the 1/6 size body, but I think it's more realistically proportioned. Most BJD heads tend to be disproportionately large. She's in her kimono now.

    10. I managed to pick up a Hadari recently! My plan is to collect as many as I can and have them surround the motoko version in a display hahaha

      It seems alot harder to find the motoko version and from what I've found out she was limited to 1000. I'm not sure about Hadari.

      (I also have two of the plastic Motoko BJD's (well if it's considered as such.) )

      So if anyone ever plans to sell their Hadari's or Motoko's please please hit me up!

    13. As for my plastic Motoko's they are away in boxes at the moment :( But I've got x2 of the camo version they released. I also have alot of the retro figures in their boxes too. You could say I'm quite the collector for GITS.

    14. I've never seen a Motoko version in person, how's the quality of the jacket, etc? Does she still have the hole in the side of her head for the flower, or does that version use a different head sculpt?

      I've got two girls set up at the moment, with a 3rd in her box and my Motoko version still coming from Japan. Their wigs don't seem very consistant, one is alot thicker than the other. I'm thinking of commissing some to make them more indentical.

    17. Isn't that interesting, the difference in the wigs! I've wondered about that -- I was always surprised by how wonky the wig's fit and style were, when everything else about Hadari seemed so carefully done.

      I know it goes against the point of all the Hadaris being identical and interchangeable, but I actually like the bit of individual personality that the wigs give your pair!

      I found some photo's of her with a different wig on on a japanese site and she actually looks really pretty! So I'm questioning whether I should make them so identical, but I do like the idea of them looking the same and making my motoko version stand out more in my display.

    19. Those are some cool photos! My Hadaly's wig had a nice shape, but it wouldn't stay on her head for anything. I have a monique 4/5" wig on her now.

    20. I had the same issue with her wig, it wouldn't stay on and was difficult to work with.

      @ecchibat made me a replacement, with a fuller, more stylistic take on the original. It's a bit softer, too. :]
