Girls Loving Girls

Nov 9, 2007

    1. I love your dolls. totally fabulous. And I know what you mean. I feel bad cause all my dolls are lesbians ...... i wonder how my boyfriend feels about that xD

    2. I have one girl who loves the girls(my Breakaway girl, Lucette). Her character has always been gay, it just fitted her. I do intend to get her girlfriend in doll form at some point. Most of my guys are either gay or bi, and my other girl(Narae) hasn't quite figured it out yet, but she's 15 so she has time to discover her preference.

    3. I hope there will be a greater variety in the BJD community when it comes to sexual preferences among the dolls soon. More love, all kinds of love. It makes the world a happier place, right. :3 <3

My darling girl Hanna is a lesbian and I'm planning on bringing her beloved home as soon as I've found the perfect sculpt for the character I have in mind. ^_^

    5. @True Crimson: Oh, I have checked out that Gallery thread before ^^;; your girls are very cute, and they look great together

@zingor: Oh, your Shall looks wonderful, I hope I can get a Tender Shall one day X3 Your girls look very cute together also, like opposites of each other, being made complete by the other one, kind of ^^

    6. I like to dress them in similar outfits with different colors. I do feel like they complete each other that way. They are very much in love. <3
I want a tender shall someday too. ^^

    7. I've also noticed that girlxgirl relationships are hard to come by in general (both in fanfiction and... on deviantart... and... pretty much everywhere...) I think that yaoi is definitely a more popular genre because of the whole... teen girl aspect. I don't want to generalize or anything, but that does seem to be the case. I think girls find the idea of two guys together more appealing than two girls... or at least more interesting... I really don't know, though.

As it is, a friend have mine and I have two dolls that are (sort of) together and they're both girls, so hopefully we can make it a norm!

    9. As a lesbian I am in full support of having girl dolls in love :D lol I just cant afford to get another 1/3 girl for my poor Zeek.

    10. I've seen several gay photoshoots, but I've seen none with two girl lovers.

I suppose this is because there is a substantial yaoi fanbase, which has fans of all sexualities and there isn't something quite as sizable for girls.

My dolls are supposed to be younger, so I've never really thought about their sexuality, but if there are two girls who "like each other" and their characters seem to match, then I'd consider posting some pictures to make up for the lack of this topic. ^^

    11. A lot of my dolls are gay and lesbian but that doesn't mean they have a boyfriend/girlfriend. Much like in life, having a sexual identity doesn't mean you have a partner!

I think I don't have more lesbian doll characters because that's a part of my life and it's really not all that interesting. Much like always hearing that high school girls in uniforms are hot... having been there it just seemed dorky and I was always too warm. It doesn't capture the creative part of my imagination. :|

    12. Me and Amb2730 started our two girls together last night. It's not a hard set romance, they just look wonderful together. But I'm not a huge fan of either homosexual pairing. Nothing against it. I have my gay boy characters. Now, I apparently have my lesbian girl. And I have my straight girl. So, I gotta say I'm also disappointed in the lack of "girl love" going on in the forum. I do know it's there. But I get a little tired of seeing all boyXboy.

    13. I adore cute, sweet, cuddley, adorable homosexual couples, specially if both parties are female. :aheartbea Haibane's photostories originally got me interested in BJDs followed by J*Me's & Nettness' photoshoots. :D

It's one thing that will probably end up happening with my dolls in the future, as I like girl dolls alot more, and if they don't want to be lonely they don't have much of a choice with mostly girls at my house. ;) I'm thinking of making a Volks F-18 MSD and Volks Mika MSD couple... Or they may just be best friends, no idea how that will turn out. *_* Depends on if the Mika has a twin brother (Ken) or not. But then again, as MSDs I might find them too young for romantic relationships. :sweat Who knows what the BJD world of tomorrow holds!

    14. Cheers for that! Yay! I never got the whole teenagers in uniforms things. I love my lesbian girls and they are feminine and very sweet at the same time! ~Gus

    15. My Unoa and Narae are 'together', but I really don't go that much into the character aspect of dolls, so there aren't really photoshoots of them.

This has probably been said 100x, but the Yaoi influence here is huge, so there are a looooot more boylove couples around.

    16. I'm not sure why they're not more common, but I think a lot of the people who frequently share photos often own more boy than girl dolls, on average. When I had girl dolls two of them were together, but I ended up selling them after only a few months. My next doll will most likely be a girl, and I think she would like a girlfriend eventually :aheartbea

    17. I admit to being a big yaoi fan, so naturally, I like boyXboy couples. However, I don't go looking for them in the gallery. If the photostory itself is good then it doesn't matter if the couple is gay, lesbian or hetero. The story itself is the main thing, not the sexuality of the character(s). One thing I love about the doll community is the fact that most people here are pretty open minded so all kinds of couples and dolls with different styles are accepted. There does seem to be a lack of lesbian doll couples in the gallery but I really wouldn't mind seeing more. Same sex couples really appeal to me because I like to think that the level of, for the lack of a better word, understanding is higher than with hetero couples. Of course, that's probably not true, but it's a nice thought.

I agree that yaoi is everywhere nowadays but I don't see it as a bad thing. Unless the story's main focus is the gayness, that gets boring very quickly. If the characters are gay just for the sake of being different then that's just cheap.

It's probably true that boyboy relationships appeal to straight girls because of "teh hot", but in my case, that's not the whole truth. I've never really had any guy friends (or a boyfriend for that matter) and my idols have always been women. My brothers have already moved away from home but my sister still lives with me and my parents. She's a lesbian by the way so I've never really had anyone to talk to about boys. I guess you could say that I've been surrounded by females for the most part of my life so now it's time for a change ;) So while many of you have probably gotten bored of yaoi/shounen-ai, for me it's very new. I want to have a gay doll couple but it wouldn't be the kind of "OMG, yaoi!" kind of thing. They probably wouldn't even be very lovey-dovey, but gay nevertheless.

    18. Jump in feet first :) Just stick to the guidlines set out for that sort of stuff... whack a label on it with the pink hearts and a title and share some neato photographs.... I've often thought that sometimes the bonds between females because we are the reproducers whilst not necesarily sexual are very deep and profound, given women a deeper stronger bond and a greater understaning of one another, more so than men ever will have..... It would be lovely to see that reflected in a great photostory!!

    19. None of my girls will let me make them lesbians :sigh

I do have one girl who is "not fussy" (she's not human though :| and is female more in looks than actuality - more asexual really) but the others are stubbornly insisting they're straight >_<

I'd love to have a lesbian couple ^_^ As a girl-liking girl myself, I find I relate more to girl couples than boy couples. I like Yaoi and all, but I'd rather settle down with a shoujo-ai romance than a hardcore yaoi :XD:
