wow, someone is cranky. i don't think the point of this person's post (or the comments included) was to complain or bitch about the lack of certain material, but to open the door to something that some people might not have thought of before. this is why it's called a discussion board, and exactly why it's being brought up.

 

But how come I never see girls loving girls.

I would think because the vast majority of people on here are ladies, and most of them are hetero.

Personally I destest girl+girl couples, I'm quite Gynophobic (hate of women) so I've never noticed that there was a lack of it. Cant miss what you're not looking for, you know?

To pull it off, I reccomend nothing sexual. Little pecks on the cheek, holding hands, and tears, could come off as sweet and heart warming and whatnot. But (And this is just my opinion) anything past that: making, 'touching', and sex arnt all that romantic between woman, like it is between two men (what with the pain, and all that- that comes with the deed).

 

Dollerotica on LJ has quite a few Yuri sets, but the majority is still Yaoi. DollsofIniquity on LJ has only just started, so I am waiting to see what gets posted up there, but I am pretty sure that a lot of it will be Yaoi, especially since I just pulled TD into it...

I do prefer the Yuri stuff, being male and all that.

I would have to disagree with you on some things SpazzMuffin, but then I have been exposed to a lot of written erotica and porn in my time. I have found that Yuri material produced by women to be some of the most sensual and tender stuff around, even when getting it on, while a lot of Yuri stuff done by men has been lame and mere fantasy fulfilment with little emotional context.

I have see some rather tender Yuri doll porn done by women in my time that has been very hot, simply because the emotional context leads up to the hot stuff.

But yeah, more Yuri stuff please.

I prefer boy/boy and girl/girl couples, but I guess I lean towards girl/girl couples more because of my orientation.

And I agree with Kuma Smash! I can understand that some people may like yaoi over yuri or vice-versa, but neither is "more important" than the other.

Wow, Spazmuffin, nothing like a bit of lesbophobic misogyny to make my day, with a bit of ignorance about gay men thrown in. Male/male sex doesn't have to be painful - female/female sex doesn't have to be pain free. Look up fisting. And physical pain isn't needed for romance or to "pull it off", for heaven's sake. If you're a high school student whose fantasy life evolves around yaoi, though, it's not surprising that you don't have a very realistic or adult idea of gay sex, let alone sex in general. Just don't make inane prescriptions about what the grownups need to do to "pull off" depictions of lesbianism.

That being said, dollie porn just makes me roll my eyes. But if my dolls were pairing off, they'd be lesbian by default, because that's just my world in real life, too - and because I don't have boy dolls. One day I'll get the right doll to cosplay Utena to my Jin's Anthy cosplay that I'm working on, and then they will be trying out various couply poses from the manga art, so I guess they'll be G-rated yuri in that case. 33 when Utena is all protective of her Anthy.

 

Once my Matsuri gets here, her girlfriend Amalthea is going to get very huffy about her taking so long. XD Those two are going to be my tote-around dollbuddies for this year's Gay Pride event.

 

if i could find two female molds that i actually liked, i would have girl dolls instead of boys. and they would be in love. but being as i'm so picky, i guess i'll have to wait for those dream molds to show themselves.

And that is exactly why I was encouraging people to be proactive, rather than sitting around feeling sorry for themselves & blaming the lack of yuri on a preponderance of yaoi. Don't be so sensitive. Sit up and seize the day.

For those of you who are 18+, there is a nice Yuri subforum on Controversialdoll.com where you don't have to look at any boys if you don't want to see them. It would love to receive all of those fabulous yuri photoshows you're all going to go home and make now.

 

I plan on producting some dollie girlxgirl romance but that doesnt mean I wouldnt like to see more of it, and yes I think I have every reason to bring it to peoples attention and make it known that I would like to see more! Just because I enjoy same sex couples doesnt mean i am homosexual or anything, I just enjoy things that stray from the norm. you probably could have worded it differently, though. it came off as snarky and judgmental rather than encouraging. it's not being sensitive, it's called having common courtesy. "sitting around feeling sorry for themselves" =/= how everyone is responding to this post, unless you're reading it completely differently than i am. though i do agree that putting yaoi as one of the problems is kind of extreme.

either way i hope to see more yuri. i don't own a female bjd so it's kind of impossible for me to contribute, but i do encourage it greatly.

Several of my dolls have lesbian/bisexual characters. Yaoi doll photostories are more prevalent mostly because of DoA's audience. I doubt it has anything to do with prejudice.

The whole talk about sex is pretty off-putting and offensive TBH. We are not all adults here.

Well my two girls have a 'school girl romance' going on between them right now since Navi's character doesn't really come out as a strong sexual personality but Tora is a totally different story. It's all innocent with hand holding, little kisses, cuddles and fluff but since they're MSD size I wouldn't want to see them go into anything deeper. Even if Navi has a massive rack on her to rival an SD.

Side note: I'm a guy and while I do like boy love and all, I do find it's a bit over done but honestly fluff is wonderful for hetero or gay. Nothing better than cuddles!
