Girls Loving Girls

Nov 9, 2007

    1. There are a few girl couples posing around. Two of my girls are "an item," but I don't take pics very often!

    2. I love the idea of more girlxgirl stories and pics here. I'm a fan and I'm sure your dolls will get a positive reaction from others as well.

    3. With any "characters" I have owned, doll or other, they have all kind of made up their own minds who they wanted to be with (or not). I think love is grand, no matter the genders involved.

    4. I like both gay and lesbian relationships with the dolls, and while it is sad that there aren't as many shojo-ai doll pairings/photostories/galleries, I think its mainly from it not being as popular here. I've yet to any of the dolls I am saving up for, and while my first will be a boy, his sister is bi-curious and her best friend is a lesbian. When I get them both, I plan on them having experimental stories and fluffy photoshoots, all tasteful of course. So, I applaud your movement to bring your couple out into the light and look forward to seeing them ^^

    5. I agree with what everyone else has said, what with the popularity of yaoi and bxblove etc. Girllove is fun too and I think it'd be great to see some more of it on the boards. I havent gotten my dolls yet (broke college kid) but while I have ideas in mind, Im sure some of them will want things their way. ^^ Girllove ftw!

    6. My two girls [actually one will be a gift for my fiance...] are going to be together... I just need to save for them. <3

      It's actually in my opinion... a tad annoying when it's to the point of seeing "OMG TEEHEE BOYS WITH BOYS!!!!1111 LOL" ... haha I know not everyone's like that i'm just saying when that DOES happen.
      Yaoi has a bigger fandom within the doll communties due to the percentage of female's in the hobbie... not that gender matter's but it is a true factor.

    7. I've seen quite a bit of girl/girl stuff on DoA. It ebbs every now and again, but it's there. n.n

      Good for you for wanting your girls to love each other. You get a high five for that.

    8. i must admit the one thing that pushes me away from this forum is the insane amount of boy love XD im not against it at all but i feel like the odd one out for not being a part of it

      i also plan for 2 of my female characters to kind of be lovers...its not kinky or said explicitly bbut you know its there...

    9. A lot of guys think because I'm a girl I think yuri is gross =S
      But to be honest I love it! I get that little fluttery heart thing and a loud fangirl scream will come out once in a while lol.
      I'm not much of a fan of yaoi though, maybe once in a while.
      I'd like to see more of it on DoA though =) maybe if I ever get a pair of girls I'll post some in the future =D

    10. I think yaoi is far too over saturated these days, it bores me to be honest. A little yuri would actually be a refreshing change or *gasp* hetro... mreh I ceased to really care about peoples or dolls orientations a long time ago, a compelling story is infinitely more interesting than 'zomg my dolls are gay'

    11. i have to agree with that XD

    12. I'd really love it if there was more GL on the forums. :)

      I love yaoi too, don't get me wrong, but now it seems like that's all there is.

      It's most likely because lots of people here are straight girls, so yaoi is the most appealing thing for them (not that I'm saying every straight girl likes yaoi).

      Speaking as a lesbian though, I'd love to see some cute girlxgirl stuff. :D

    13. I really want to like yuri more than yaoi, but I don't. I guess that, since I'm a straight girl, I'm not attracted to the idea of one girl, much less two together.

      I can't really like yaoi too much, because, as a girl, it makes me feel useless and unwanted. Therefore, I want to like yuri. I just don't.

      A few of my characters are gay, though. *sighs* I just can't win.

    14. I'm not really sure why girlxgirl isn't as popular as boys love, honestly. I find it very odd. o~o Though, there is some on the board. They have girl/girl perfect match games. ^_^

      I enjoy both malexmale and femalexfemale, explicit or non-explicit romances, as long as it has a good story and interesting characters. Honestly, I find most hetero pairings to be boring, in a way, they're more cliched than both girlxgirl and boyxboy couplings (or they used to be). Really, I'd adore more girlxgirl couples on the board though, and hope to someday contribute. XD;;;

      If you're confused on terminology...

      yaoi=expliciet boys love-buttsex. XP
      shounen ai= just fluff, holding hands kissing, cuddling, hinted sex.

      Same applies for girls...

      yuri=expliciet girl love-sex...
      shoujou ai=fluff again, kissing, cuddling, you know...

      These terms mostly apply to anime/manga, but I've seen them used for other fandoms. (Star Trek, lol. XD )

      Another term you'll often see, though mainly involved with literature, is slash, this mostly applies to male pairings, usually involving sex at some point. It sometimes applies for female pairings as well. Femslash is a purely female couplings though, and like yuri/shoujo-ai, isn't as popular. Slash and femslash generally refer to anykind of parings, not just anime and manga pairings. (Star Trek again. XD) Then there's yaoi hentai, which I think is when the malexmale stuff gets really dirty and kinky, but I'm not sure, it could still be referring to yaoi.

      Ah, and hentai is generally just explicit sexual content, that I think only deals with hetero couples. I've only ever seen this term used with anime and manga.

      If you do look into this a bit farther, something else you might find handy (and could save you some embarrassment) is lemon and lime. Lemon is material (usually referring to literature) containing explicit sexual content and situations. Lime doesn't. I think both terms generally refer to same sex couples, but I could be very wrong. O_o;;;

      So, I hope I haven't messed anything up, I hate making an arse out of myself. I hope I didn't go to off-topic as well. >_>;;;;

    15. I don't know why it's not as common. My girls have been 'dating' since my first girls first birthday, so just a few weeks lol. It just means they hold hands when they sit together now, I haven't really done any official couple pictures with them, I guess they are private. I hope they don't mind me outting them to the forum lol

    16. I would imagine it has a lot to do with the fact the majority here (and in the yaoi fandom) will be hetrosexual females. I wont pretend to know the psychology behind it but it doesn't really make it all that suprising that they'd prefer guy on guy action as opposed to girl on girl when they have no sexual attraction to females. The same way you don't see straight guys buying gay porn...

    17. My collective has two girl-girl pairings already and yet another of my girls is waiting for me to find the perfect sculpt for her significant other (also to be female). Sapphic romance may not prevalent, but it is most certainly here.

    18. I think it's because a lot of girls buy male dolls and have yaoi on the brain. Yaoi is a huge fad, and Yuri just happens to be its less popular, but equally as good, if not better counterpart.

      It's hard for me to explain since I just woke up from a much needed nap, but the most common explanations are that girls hate girls, but they like boys that act like girls, and that there is the phobia of Mary Sue appearing in their stories, so they use boys instead.

      They think it's hot and/or cute to see boys on boys. It is the popular trend to have gloriously beautiful homosexual male lovers as characters nowadays. Yuri is just less popular because it is girls on girls, and most girls tend to hate girls.

      Yaoi's always been the more popular of the two, so it'll be nice to see some girl x girl couples. I think they're cute if done right, so I look forward to seeing your pictures of your girls if you decide to put them together.

    19. I was under the impression that there was an equal standing of bi-sexual and heterosexual females on the board. I was wrong. XD

      That is true though, isn't it? Well...huh. What about taking character development and story and such into the equation? Some members might not enjoy girl/girl couples for pleasure. Though some hetero female members might find it awkward to view some girl/girl material, as some stated in previous posts.

    20. Alot of females also seem to be shy towards girl/girl... while boy/boy is pretty openly discussed among females. Mind you I hang out with both genders and every type of "sexuality group" so it's just from what i've noticed.

      Personally I find girl/girl to be much more cute while boy/boy seem's to only be sex nowadays. [I know it isn't, i'm a fan of both... it's just what's protrayed by fangirls.]

      Oh and i'm a male, engaged to another male just to inform everyone [NOT bisexual]... but I still prefer girl/girl fluff latley compared to boy/boy fluff.
