Girls or Boys and are you Male or Female?

Ehhh... I'm a 21 year old boy and I like my dollies very much, thanks!

But I don't know... I've been into 'girl stuff' since I was little, so my family's not really that surprised, or anything.

I was shocked when my boyfriend decided to collect with me... especially because he was straight before we decided to date.

 

Aww, thats cute Icepuppet! I wanna see you two's dolls. ^.^ My husband isn't really into the dolls, he finds them kinda creepy. He doesn't like to go in public when I have Madison with me. But, when I recieved Lorelai a few days ago and she was damaged (long long story) and I was upset he started playing with Madison and posing her to make me smile. It was really sweet. And absolutely adorible. I don't think he will ever get one, but I am sure I would be able to get him to like how one looks.

I'm not a guy, but I LOVE seeing guys who collect dolls. There are a number in my area and I think it's wonderful.

Of course, it can be more difficult for guys to find acceptance outside of the doll-owners... It can be tough for girls and women with dolls! But that's life, I guess. Just don't talk about it with those who aren't interested-- that's a good rule for everyone, guys or girls. People who aren't interested or open just don't want to hear about it. People who are interested and open--hey, go for it!

Other people have all sorts of ideas about things. Hopefully they won't try to run YOUR life! They have the right to opinions, but not to tell you what to do! That's the same for all of us.

Well, I have been talking about them nonstop and...my husband has gotten over the fact that I love collecting the eyes and he's ok with the dolls. -coughs- I...used to heavily collect the TY beanie babies things, he knows I rp and he knows the dolls would be more than just dolls. My family, save for my immediate don't come near me because being the way I am is considered a contagious disease to them My parents aren't thrilled, but it was a different reaction than when I came out to them.

I like the males a bit more, but only because I have yet to find a female doll whose chest doesn't poke through all the clothes like she's always freezing cold. I did find a small chested female doll I liked, but there was still the pointing issue. If I wasn't afraid of killing them, I'd get one and sand it down.

 

I think bra's help that problem a tad lol

 

Well I know my opinion wont count so here goes I thinks its awesome for guys to collect dolls u know it doesnt mean theyre girly or anything its realy cool hobby that everyone can enjoy and i mean everyone so thats all I gotta say!!^^

hell the last hobby I was involved in I almost got into several fist fights :P

 

I'm a guy and my girlfriend got me into the hobby and onto DOA.

Though I haven't got much cash spare atm to spend on dolls, it was the only thing my family decided to note upon, they really don't mind or even care, otherwise.

 

My boyfriend buy my first doll, a DOT Shall, as a present for my birthday last year. He respects my hobby and helps me taking photographs of them when I buy new wigs and clothes... He wants me to save for a boy, an Akando, but I love girls!

 

Yesterday, my boyfriend expressed his interest to own a BJD. But it'll at least be a while till he buys one. But who knows, maybe friends and I will put some money together, order a doll and make some cosplays he'll want to dress him up with. He's already visualizing a BBB Apollo as the "Artful Dodger" from Oliver Twist for example.
I do see similarities with the Apollo face and for instance Elijah Wood, who also portrayed the Artful Dodger once. But anyway, I own an Apollo so he's familiar with the mold already. Mine still has the default big blue eyes, which is a lot like mr Wood. I haven't been able to find a better looking set of blues who make him look just as friendly and kind as he does now.

 

Any one can collect anything they want. I think that if guys want to collect dolls these are the best kind to be collecting!

 

I'm a gay man (I'm a transman) and my boyfriend collects dolls as well. The only problem we have is deciding who gets to get the next doll but that's usually not a problem.

 

I have to admit, I like mostly girl dolls. I have a harder time bonding to guys just because, well, they are men. Don't get me wrong, I like man-dolls. However, I just have more in common with my ladies.

 

I would be of the female variety and I find myself having a list of boy dolls on my wishlist. There are some really lovely girl BJDs, but I find the guys more appealing to me. xD And I can always dress them up in girls clothes if I feel the need to.

 

If it would be only my decision I would buy all my dolls men... but my mom has a said in this as well so, I think my third doll is gonna be a girl ^^U,,,

 

I don't "prefer" one gender over another, but I own more male dolls than female. So far, I have three boys and only one girl. I don't know what it is, but I think I'm a lot pickier with girls than I am with boys. :/

 

Im a girl and I have mostly girl dolls. Its more the fact girls have more clothing options and for me I can be more creative and come up with characters easier for a girl doll then a boy doll. But I do have to admit some boy dolls are hot, and I will have some boy dolls just alot more girl ones ^^

 

I'm female and so far I have one girl and one boy. I don't really have a favourite gender for my dolls but I think the majority will be female for no real reason other than they were the sculpts I happened to fall in love with.
