1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. I'm a guy and both of my dolls are guys. I like female dolls too, but I'm more drawn to males.

    2. I prefer females, because I relate to them easier and they are easier to shop for. I have double the amount of female characters as opposed to my male characters. In reality I also have a few that are genderless, but even they have a stronger tendancy towards one gender or the other.

    3. I'm a female and greatly prefer male BJDs. I'm much more picky with female sculpts. The only reason why I got a second female was because she could be the sister of my first female and they came from the same company, so it was perfect. I don't see myself owning any other female dolls besides these two unless a new sculpt comes out. I find the guys more interesting and I enjoy creating their characters more.

    4. I have one female doll and the rest are males. For me the males jump out and seem more varied - the females all tend toward a very generic pretty - so they just all blend into a mass of "prettiness" and look the same.

I want to have more female dolls but I am completely turned off by the balloon boob syndrome most of them have. Honestly I'd probably have a few more female dolls if most of them didn't have that double coconut thing going on and the face of a pre-teen.

    5. I own 5 male dolls and 10 female dolls (1 doll is genderless but I counted it as female due to its appearance).
I like both female and male dolls equally, but the dolls I tend to not just admire and really buy are female.

    6. Hmm...

I'm female, and I'd say the genders are pretty equalised here, but I do actually tend to like the boys better...
The girls are mostly the same molds, but the boys vary, and I have more fun with their characters. :)

    7. Girl here and I prefer male dolls but I do like female dolls...I just seem to relate more to male characters and I find them more enjoyable. Nevertheless, I have one genderless doll who is female and I love her to bits. I would love to have another female doll in the future, though.

    8. WHOA! i was a bit confused on what were voting for preference in here haha. So i think i clicked the wrong button haha
I'm a female. I have no preference. No. No preference I love seeing both boys and girls (dolls), But i like to own female dolls
They are just so beautiful. See? no preference. xD

    9. I'm female and I definitely prefer girls than boys. I find that girl dolls are more interesting to dress up and style. I spend much time watching pictures of boy dolls, there are a few sculpts that I really really like, but I think I'd better admire them in owners' pictures. I honestly would go crazy deciding what to do with them if I ones got them.

    10. I'm a female and I don't really have a preference in regards to gender. I tend to pick my dolls depending on the character I have in mind for them.

    11. I'm female and I have two resin ladies and one resin gent on the way. I really have no attachment to one particular gender of doll – I just kind of roll with the characters that pop out of my brain as I see sculpts that I love. ^ v^

    12. I was confused at first too. Lol, oh well, my answer still works anyways.

I'm female and my gender preference for dolls depends on the type. I prefer the girls for YOSDs and tinys and the boys for MSDs and SDs. I only have tinys right now, so all I have is girls. :) But I have an MSD on the way and several more planned and they are all boys.

    13. I'm a female and have 3 girls and the 4th is coming :) I had a boy also and he was cute but I really do prefer girls. I love pink and girly clothing ;)

    14. Girl here, and I do not have a preference, I find most of the dolls I like happen to be female, but I don't go out specifically looking.

    15. I'm a girl, and I like to think I don't really have a preference, but... I have way more girls than boys. I don't even have all the dolls on my wishlist, but even if I did, I would still have a lot more girls. This isn't because I prefer female characters, in fact, for a very long time, I came up with mostly male characters (When I was little, I was a tomboy and when I played pretend with my friends I would usually pretend I was a boy character.) but I guess they just didn't make the transition to doll very well? I dunno... I also find that even though my favorite doll is male, I think a big reason I have more girls is because in general, they are more fun to dress up. Obviously, boys can dress up too, but my characters aren't the kinds of guys to really do that. I can try to dress them how I want, but they will make their opinions known if they disapprove. But the girls seem more willing to wear different styles, and their preferences tend to be more colorful and fun. I mean, I'm pretty much going to end up with maybe six guys, if I get everyone on my wishlist. One dresses casually, y'know, Tshirts and jeans, maybe a sweatshirt of button-down over a Tshirt... that's about it. Another dresses in fine suits, but always in muted, dark colors, and always relatively simple styles (i.e. no excessive ruffles, etc). Another is very slender and wears a lot of simple, baggy clothes. Two more are Greek warriors, so they will wear mostly simple clothing or armor, and the very last male doll is a house faerie\brownie, so he doesn't even wear clothes! So as you can see, I have a lot more fun with the girls when it comes to dressing them up in pretty clothes!

    16. Love the girls, but like to dress them as boys, how is that for a change?

    17. I'm a girl. I truly have no preference when it comes to the gender of my dolls, and I happen to have equal numbers of boys and girls at the moment. I care way more about sculpts, faceups, and posability than I do about gender, since none of my dolls are shelling OCs or anything. The sculpt has to be really compelling and enrapturing for me to buy the doll -- regardless of what gender zie is. My dolls do happen to fall into the gender binary, but I would be happy to have a trans* doll as well. Zie would just need to have a sculpt I find compelling, like the rest of my BJDs. :)

    18. I'm female, and when I started out I thought I'd only have boys. But girls eventually made their way into my collection, and now I have 5... but 35 boys.

    19. I am a female. I don't really prefer one gender over the other.. For my first bjd originally I was looking for a genderless doll but in the end went for a girl, only because I really liked the sculpt.

    20. I'm male and prefer male dolls.
      Cause girls have cooties!!!

BUT...my next doll may end up a DD so we'll see.
