1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. 1. I'm a guy and I prefer only female dolls. They tend to reflect some of the things I find attractive in real girls. Hence why a lot of my girls are tomboyish and none of my girls are frilly prissy girly girls.

I received one male YoSD as a surprise freebie. Well within a few days I had sanded off his male parts cause I just couldn't have a male doll lol.

    2. I love my boys (Johnny and Joe) very much, but I have to confess I'm more comfortable making clothes and such for girl dolls. There's just so much more you can do with them. And I don't get into the "dress the boys up like girls" thing at all (not that there's anything wrong with it), so.

    3. I'm a gal and I've bought almost all ladies - with the exception of one obitsu that I made into one of my male characters. as of yet I haven't found a realistic boy sculpt that makes me want to buy one. Plus with having all ladies I can have them all swap out clothes and it's easier. :)

    4. Its nice having someone with me lol xD Good for you.

    5. I' male. Dolls that I have and I plan to buy a girl =) My girlfriends have only girls doll too =) and in the plan only girls =)
Even men's heads that we like we see on the girls bodies!

    6. I'm a girl but generally prefer boys. That's not to say I don't have girls and don't plan girls as well... just... I have many more boys than girls to be honest.

    7. I'm a girl and so far have only girls or women but have about the same of each gender on my wishlist.

    8. I am a woman who prefers female dolls. The males are too androgynous for my taste.

    9. I'm a girl and have no preference ^ ^ I think I might prefer male dolls a little more, only because there are a lot more male dolls anyway, so more dolls to like of one gender than the other. I still like a lot of the female dolls. I have a hard time imagining a male doll as a female or vice versa, but it's happened and I've switched some around too.

    10. I'm a girl, and I only have girl dolls. For me it's about self insertion. My dolls are an extension of myself, and since I'm a girl, they all are too. I enjoy them having the perfect figure I'll never achieve, the long hair I can never grow, eyes a shade of purple that isn't found in nature, etc. I also think girl dolls are way more fun to style and dress.

The only boy doll on my wishlist is a Lumedoll Blaze, and that's less because I want him, and more because my ToYou Sara wants a boyfriend. So he's really more of an accessory for her, haha. Poor guy. I also think the Iplehouse men are srsly hawt, but don't feel the need to own one. Maybe if I had infinite money, but I don't. There are just too many other things I'd rather spend that much money on because again, any boy dolls would take a backseat to the girls in terms of time and budget.

Along the same lines, I only like mature sculpts. I don't like anything that looks childlike or babyish. No Yo-SDs or Littlefees for me. Even my tiny Elfdolls have boobs.

    11. I have 4/5 boys and 7/8 girls. One of my heads we haven't decided which gender body it will end up on yet. I have more girls in the smaller dolls than I do in the bigger dolls, but the bigger dolls it's almost even. I don't really think I have a preference. It's more about the individual doll for me than picking genders. I did start out wanting a pair of both for each size but that plan quickly went by the wayside as I got to picking my dolls. I love them both. It's all good but I will admit that I've had a lot more problems getting the boys dressed and all than I have my girls. For me boys are definitely more trouble to work with but in the end they're still worth it I think.

    12. I'm not sure why, but I prefer female dolls (and I am female). Male dolls don't attract me at all, I find them dull to dress and customize overall while for me females have a body much more beautiful and interesting to dress. Also all the characters I have in mind are females, and that is because I am a girl... but anyway I have yet to find a doll suited for a character, usually I have to think about new characters for dolls because they don't match perfectly my idea.

    13. I'm female and I have a stronger connection with female dolls and character. I'm pretty much a girly girl and I love all the different things you can do with girl dolls. Not saying that you can't do a ton with boy dolls as well, but I just enjoy more feminine styles in general.

    14. I'm a girl and I prefer boy dolls. I have had female dolls but they're not as exciting for me...I still like them though. I have a tiny girl who owns my heart! and in the future I plan to have a MSD girl but my crew is 99% boys.

Try Iplehouse, you can't get more manly than that! also, you can make a male doll look "manly" (whatever that is for you) depending on the face up and style.

    15. Im male and prefer female dolls. Im not gay but have a bigender personality. Even my wife says there are traits I have that are distinctly feminine but other aspects are most certainly masculine. I find myself in awkward situations sometimes with older family members, especially when they see me with my dolls. Its usually females that notice it most.

    16. I'm a guy and I honestly don't really have a preference. I only have one doll (a female flower fairy) at the moment, but these are my thoughts. I'm most likely going to get a male BJD next. I'm drawn to attractive male sculpts since I think they're yummy to look at. On the other hand, I think I would like designing clothes and beautifying female dolls. The first male BJD I get will probably be in his underwear most of the time, haha. Don't judge me! XD

    17. I'm female and I prefer girl dolls. There's just more variety for clothes and wigs I feel. I've bought dolls before intending for them to be boys but they always end up girls when they arrive :sweat I may try adding a boy sometime but I'm fine without any.

    18. I'm a female and I prefer girl-doll.
It is not as much fun to dress up a boydoll as male fashion is poor compared to the female one.
I like frilly sparkly thing and ribbons too much.

    19. I'm female and I only have girls because I have so much more fun doing faceups on girls and sewing for girls x)
If I had boys the would crossdress. Or be so "kawaii desu" because I'd only make them unicorn kirugumi.

    20. I'm female, and I only have female dolls. I've thought about getting male dolls, but... None of them really appeal to me the way girls do. They're just more fun to dress up, I guess.
