1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Girls view on guys who own BJDs

Oct 26, 2010

    1. I'm in the process of doing so... Thanks! ^_^y

    2. cool. :D very very cool.

    3. Hiya~! Kamusta?! :D

    4. I am perfectly fine with it and actually my boyfriend brought me into the hobby! :) We have other guy friends who are also into it. We actually have a nice mix of girls and guys here in NC who enjoy the hobby.

One funny note: When my boyfriend and I take our dolls out on photo shoots, people are constantly asking HIM if he is a professional photographer and if the pictures are for advertising! I think its the funniest thing! Then he explains to them that it is his hobby and since he is so open and warm, people become intrigued and ask a million questions! Now when I'm shooting, it get the "Oh what a beautiful doll." comment but no one thinks I'm a pro! :doh NOT FAIR! hahaha!

    5. I am insanely jealous of everyone who has a boyfriend who is also into dolls. My god I wish my bf liked them; he thinks they are cool but not really his thing *fist shake.*

If I met a guy who collected BJDs I would LOVE to totally fangirl/boy with him! Boys who collect BJDs are AWESOME! :D

    6. Yeah, that's one hell of a inbalanced "thing" can get as a doll owner, you'll just be like a wallflower. xD

You just never know, there's a single guy here who's so into BJDs and currently saving some cash for him to get his own doll. xD

    7. Hehe, it's quite cute! They plan out the characters together, and then he builds them. Repaints faces, sews ammo packs, etc.

Oh, it definitely makes sense. Action figures are just built to take more damage and rough handling than a BJD, that's all. ^^

    8. Ah, yes! Hah, one can never go wrong with a Migidoll, unless, of course, you have an aversion to nosebleeds!;)I have a Ryu on my wishlist currently.
And I absolutely adore A&D's mouth for some reason...maybe it reminds me of the CP mouths? Anyway, classy choices, haha, and I hope that money finds its way into your dolly fund quickly!:D

    9. Yeah, i hope so too :) Thanks! There are alot of Ryu owners around here now. ;)

    10. does the Ryu do the stance for a Hadoken? lol

    11. I dunno, but he sure is a KNOCK OUT!

      *sad tuba*

      Okay, I'm done, promise.:|

    12. A lil bit of Glue Sueding might do the trick! xD

    13. never found a doll able to do that stance

    14. I don't really see genders so girls and guys are the same to me *_*
doll owners are doll owners :)

    15. Well! I'm pretty sure that there are some male owners around here, i just hope i can meet up a few. :)

    16. good luck, I have never met one (in real life) so far

    17. So create one! that's what was done to me! just gotta find them a doll that looks cute, or show them the most entertaining part of a doll meet. (again, what got me :P saw a doll-congo line at a meet at AB in boston that my friend dragged me to, looked like so much fun, i kind of wanted one. My girlfriend then helped me sift through the millions of sculpts till i found just the right one, and I can't wait to be able to buy her!)

    18. most guys I know find the dolls eerie, or if they would want to go, it would be for...well hitting on the women there, and thats just low
and I don't want to bring those sort of people there
yes lots of guys aren't like that but some are and, those are the only ones I know lol

    19. That's too bad, there are quite a few guys in our local group. We have male collectors of varying ages including my hubby and two sons. I like hanging out with all of them (well obviously I like hanging out with my hubby or I wouldn't have married him). There are those who are in committed relationship and those who are single but I have never seen anyone who I felt was only there to hit on anyone. Everyone is there because they share a mutual interest. Of course many of us share interests other than dolls as well. We've built some great friendships.

    20. Well thats great, as I said I know not all guys are like that, but I just don't feel anyone I know would be interested in it for the right reasons
