Glorydoll Lucy/Louis & Karin/Karl discussion

Does anyone have a Karl/Karin on a body besides the one they offer on glorydoll?? LOL *shopping for one for her boy*

 

She's here! She's here! Lucy is home. Wow, I love her so much. I ordered her with a body. I like the body. Very delicate. Mine is the milky color which was almost a perfect match with my new Dollstown Seola in Freshskin.

I did her faceup. She has just the look I wanted for her--kind of dramatic but not overly done. At least I feel that way. And I'm happy, happy with her!

She's gorgeous Jay! I love the face-up and that milky skin looks so delicious that I'm once again on the fence about ordering healthy or milky skin for my own Louis..what size eyes does she wear here? :3

I just ordered my Louis boy, in milky skin ^___^ I can't wait to have him home!

A question for the people owning a Lucy or Louis, the Glorydoll site says they can also wear 18 mm eyes, has anyone tried that? I've only seen them with 16 mm so far but I want him to look pretty young so 18 may be better..if anyone has some pics, it would be great to see them

I have a question about Lucy. Today I noticed that Lucy's hand and feet are pinker/darker than the rest of her body. This has been happening gradually over the past few months. She is not sitting in direct sunlight but there is natural light in the room and her feet and hands are exposed. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it normal to have hand and feet change color and nothing else?

Jumping up and down in excitement for you! So you decided on the milky skin? I love the color and don't think you'll be sorry you chose it. I had to wait almost three months for my Lucy and had to bug Glorydoll a bit, too. But she did finally get here!

Thanks! It's been about a month waiting for me now, I'll wait a little while and then I'll poke them, considering Christmas and New Years were in between..but I just can't wait to have him home! I did choose the milky skin after seeing pictures of your girl, it just looks so beautiful

And I got 16mm eyes for him anyway, in honeybrown :3 I figured 16 will look good on him anyway and I have plenty of dolls with 18 mm eyes here so I can always try it out when he's home and see which I like better ^_^

 

UGH, i ordered my Lucy head at the very beginning of November and still not here! when i "poked" them, i was told that the head was returned to them, and they needed an address, what's that about?.........

 

Has anyone else ordered the recent edition of Goth Lucy? Or Goth louis?

 

I was lucky enough to get a Karin head from someone here in the states who couldn't bond with her. At first I wasn't sure if I could bond with her or not, to tell you the truth. But after giving her a faceup I've decided she's definitely a keeper. I love her!

Here she's on a Dollstown elf body. It's an excellent fit and resin match. This body belongs to Lala my Seola, so Karin will have to get one for herself. So she'll be going into hiding for a while. She just wanted to come out briefly to say hi!




Her cute outfit is by Val Zeitler. I had her make it for the DT elf body. Love it!





I'm not sure about these eyes. Either I need to reposition them or find some that don't have such a "dear in the headlights" look.

Jay she's stunning, your dolls always have so much personality, they are so full of life. well, just today i finally got my Lucy head, it has been quite a long bumpy road, but she made it. i promptly ordered her the elf body as i can't see her on anything else, i just hope i picked the right color..... Oriental, she is milky. i have the pale skin which obviously won't work, and the fresh skin which is too pale and beige toned. i was surprised at the pinky tone of the milky resin.. anyway, DT is shipping the body next week (they are so fast) so i can give her a face and be ready.

 

I ordered a Goth Lucy 3rd edition, but I'm paying her off on a layaway, and seeing Glorydoll take a while to ship out I'm not expecting her till the end of March.

Actually I have been saving for Karin and an elf body since last year as well (but my doll fund occasionally went off to other stuff like camera lenses ~.~) Your picture just helps raise my determination and now I'll really save my money for this girl! ...hopefully I'll be able to bring her home later this year.

Btw, may I ask what is the skin color of the head and body?
Earlier I thought that GloryDoll milky match with Dollstown's fresh skin but recently I kinda confuse cuz some people said it doesn't match.

I have Karin (who her original owner says is the healthy skin) on the DT freshskin body. My Dollstown bodies and my Lucy are all recent purchases, if that means anything. The match is near perfect on Karin and the DT body. My Lucy who is the Glorydoll milky is almost the exact color as the DT freshskin too. And Karin and Lucy's heads are so close in color I can barely tell the difference. In fact, I'm not sure there is a difference. Of course, I haven't taken them outside in the bright light, maybe then I could tell. But this makes me think two things: 1) The Glorydoll healthy and milky are really close in color; or 2) the Karin head I purchased actually is the milky and not the healthy as her original owner said.
