Granado Minis

Sorry for the double-post but

I tried some clothes on, and some hands and I do have a couple pictures but they'll probably be bad, and I don't have time to look at them today.

They all fit - Unoa was way too small and childish, none of them matched at all, but since I own them, I may use the Iplehouse for a while. I still might pull one of my DK jointed hands off and try the on, but for now I'm ok with what I've got....

However....I had kind of been ambivalent about using him as Constantine because of his size (he huge), and my friend was looking at him and said he'd make a good Lex Luthor. Who was also on my list. So now he's Lex, because he really does look good bald. Which means no trench coat (yay!) or wig (yay!) but I need a suit (boo). But for now he can do with shirts and ties.

I tried the shirt and vest on that I have from Alice Collections and they did fit, so that's great. They look good on him too, if you get past the colors I dyed them D:
I have one pair of Dollmore pants that fit and aren't too short. The rest were too tight and really short. Except for the Joker's pants which are purple and not for sharing. But they fit, so I could get more in a more respectable color.....

So that's what I found. Now I have to suede him because he's driving me insane.

 

Oh yeah! The face could be a great Lex Luthor, especially if you got the Pirate makeup! I'm glad you found clothes for him too My guy poses fine exept for the knees occasionally giving way--sueding would help that! (You do know we will want pix once you get him all Luthored up

 

Oh there will be pictures! I'm super-excited about him, Lex Luthor is one of my all-time favorite villains (after the Joker) and with the new movie coming out with whats-his-name playing lex....I feel like someone should do him justice :\\\

I actually got him blank, so I'll be doing his face. I have barely any MSC left (I really need to track some down soon....) so hopefully there will be enough. And hopefully I'll get to order clothes soon because he cannot be seen in an orange shirt and purple vest. Seriously. But y'know I have grey and black....he also gets to join the endless parade of my dolls waiting on green eyes because I swear DC only has blue and green-eyed characters. >:S

My problem is the hips and chest. There actually seems to be a crack forming already on that very thin resin on the back of the chest part - so someday in the future I might just sand all that off....might look weird, but I don't want cracks.....until then I'm hoping sueding will stop him from jerking from side-to-side all the time.

 

The crack doesn't sound right--maybe it's something you could ask Ikaru about? They might be able to suggest a fix or find you a new chest!

 

With as thin as that resin is, I'm kind of surprised this hasn't happened before tbh. I've had it for a while now, I'm not sure they'd do anything....or if they did he's not even the same color as the head I just got, I'd rather not have to send it back or get a part that doesn't match....I sueded the chest piece so that (hopefully) the weight is less on the back now and more on the glue, and if worse comes to worst I can sand that angle off. I don't think it needs to be there anyway....

But I found him some temporary clothes and eyes so I thought it could be picture time!



He can't keep these clothes....they belong to the Joker. He doesn't share well.

 

So uh, hi - I just saw the new pictures @VampireAngel13 posted of her Terra guy on flickr and actually had to hit myself on the head cause I have been searching high and low for a new head for my Iple JID/LUTS centaur hybrid (after the head I had on him decided to become independent) but did I think of Terra? 'course not.

But now! Now I am here and waiting for pic spam till I can order the head from Granado or till I find one second hand xD (my poor wallet is currently a bit dead, hence why I can't order him right away)

 

LOL I'm looking for a new head now because this one became independent!! He also ran off with this body XD

If it makes you feel better, for all the dolls/characters I've been looking for I didn't look at Terra either. I thought he was too baby-faced at first glance. He's really not at all though so I don't know what the hell I was thinking the first time around....

And exactly! I only ever saw him as babyfaced and never looked for more owner pics b/c my MSDs are all adults and then you came along with your pics xD I am really excited to get my hands on this mold and work on him now!

 

He's got a really grown-up little face--his big brother , Xavier, has more of a baby face than he does.

And I just did it and ordered Terra OTL He'll be shipped straight to the face-up artist as I just don't have the energy to deal with getting him to me, freeing him out of customs and shipping him off right away again.

So I just got face-up pictures of Grisha from barbelo and he is amazing!



Esp since I just showed her the pic of Michael Fassbender as MacBeth as a reference xD

Super excited to get him home and put him on his centaur body 8D

That's so awesome! The hair is just amazing; he does look like the original ..wow!! Now once you get him home you need to show us the full combination--and send Granado a link to the photos!

 

For sure! I was so sad he wasn't done in time to take part in their photo contest but eh, there is always next year!

The face-up is really incredible and veryyyyyyyyy close to the pic O.o Really like the skin-like texture painted on. ... Also... pwetty eyes...

 

Of course he refused to be photographed w/o his bestie, of course. But hey, my Terra is all put together! (@aernath pinging you cause you wanted to see him and I don't want to spa the waiting room xD)
