Granado Minis

I have ordered each of the bodies but the only one that has arrived is the 49Ascent body with a Ninth head. His wig size is 5.5. He has snatched a wig from one of my Unitot boys. The 49Ascent body is very nice!

Did I ever say here that my Ninth stole a wig from the Unitot? I have gone a little crazy with this size and have a variety of dolls and bodies on order.

 

There is a crowd funding order for a new body from Granado! I will order both the 50cm and the 33cm bodies. I am just deciding on skin colors!

 

Eep! I'm so excited. I really regret selling my Soom Idealian 51 when I left the hobby long ago, but have been really excited by how beautiful Granado dolls are. I joined the crowdfunding for the new body and Orion head in Amber skin. It was hard deciding between rosy tan, amber, and tan skin colors.

I hope this crowdfunding will be a success!

 

What colors did you decide on, may I ask? There's so many!

 

I haven't decided yet. I want to get out one doll of each color I have and then decide. Today has been busy so I will probably do that tomorrow. I will post a picture. I usually like light colors. I have white, new normal, pink, windfresh and syringa.

 

The syringa is beautiful. My 53Lucifer is that colour. My wallet is happy there's no funds available. The doll collector that I am cries softly.

 

I am so, so tempted by the 50cm boy and I have wanted a Granado doll. Are there better pictures of the Orion head anywhere?

 

I just joined the crowd funding for a 50 cm boy. He might be a tad tall to fit in with the fashion sized group, but he can join the oddball shelf if all else fails. Fingers crossed that he gets the backing!

 

Mmmm I was wondering that too, I could not find any other pictures of Orion head anywhere.

Thank you for posting the video! I've pre-ordered the 50cm Fortis body and the Orion head without ever being sure I'd seen it... thank you for putting my mind at ease. I ordered him in Amber... I can't wait till he gets here! It'll be my first new doll in many, many years

 

So this is really fascinating! I checked in on Granado social media, and spotted an update on the body development. Check this out: x.com
I've never had a Granado doll -- are these "soft resin" parts normal for them? Do they work well? It looks pretty cool!

 

Some companies have used silicone parts but soft resin is not something I have heard about before.

 

I know for UV resin you can get soft/gummi resin that when it cures, it has the consistency of a firm gummi. I have not used this myself when I make eyes but I have seen it available to purchase. I'm assuming that Granado is not using a UV resin, lol, but if there is a UV version there's probably a 2-part version. I'm not 100% certain but I think the "soft glass" eyes you sometimes see for sale are using the semi-soft/soft resin version so perhaps what Granado is using is similar?

 

There's new news! Granado posted a new video of the 1/ 4 Orion head to their social media. He's so handsome!

Does anyone know what size eyes might be good for a realistic scale?

 

They have 9mm eyes that have worked well in the other 1/4 scale guys.
