1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Happydoll Owners - Discussion Thread

Jun 24, 2007

    1. :( Sorry to hear the head won't fit on the Shinydoll bodies! Is there a way the neck hole could be epoxied or sueded to make the fit better? If Ndoll is producing Happydoll in-house, then I imagine the resin could be similar to their Ami and Petit line (which is on the pink side). I wonder about that.

    2. Hi,everyone,
I think, sending the head to ShinyDOLL would be the easiest and best way to fit non-shinydoll head to shinydoll body. ^^

    3. Thanks for the information, Shin-san! ^.^

    4. I notice that the new Happydoll girl bodies are 58 inches tall, which is shorter than the old girl bodies. I'd guess this means they're thinner than the old bodies, too, so possibly the heads would be a better fit for the Shinydoll body.

    5. The order pages say they are using the Dreaming Doll Elva bodies for the Happydoll heads now.

    6. Hmmm. You'd have to look at the Elva body measurements and compare to see. The proportions look good on the Elva bodies, but I'm not sure how close the measurements are to Shinydolls.

    7. It's very interesting how the Margo, Dorothy and Louis sculpts were modded for this reissue... I studied my old Happydolls, and noted that while the faces are the same, the head and ear shapes are different from the originals, which should make them fit better with the Dreamingdoll bodies. I like the Elva body very much, but the male counterpart is a little wimpy. :|

Also, putting the heads on Volks bodies -- was that to show how the resin color DOESN'T match? Proportion-wise, Margo and Dorothy would look better on an SD16 body, if only the resin matched.

Did they bring back these 3 heads because they considered them more popular? Pity they didn't do Marin or Lucy, too... maybe later? :eusa_pray

    8. Thanks for chiming in as I wasn't sure what the major differences were. :) I was also hoping they would bring back sculpts like Marin and Lucy as well...I hope they do! I hope they also bring back some of Happydoll's older sculpts.
