1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Haru Casting Adori Discussion

Jan 27, 2016

    1. Psiiconic, if you scroll back and look at the pics of my Adori, he's in the Volks Normal, if that helps make your decision. (Page 10 - though the lighting may not help much. I think others also have that color resin, maybe Hasel's Adori?)

I really am torn. I wanted a dark skinned little girl, but said I wouldn't buy any more dolls in 2016! I'm so glad we have a month to think about it.

    2. Anyone have an opinon on how the moist beige would compare to the new elf cream brown? much darker?

    3. I'm just eyeballing my moist beige boy and looking at the photo and it looks as if the beige isn't so much darker or lighter as it is warmer, more of a pink/red tone to it?

    4. Just one more question (I hope)....we can order the human smiling face in the elf fantasy colors, correct?

(And thanks phanuel for your opinion on the colors!)

    5. From what I gather, all colours listed are available for both human and elf versions. But if you are uncertain, you could contact Haru directly to confirm :)

    6. @DollSewist thank you!! I think that's exactly what I'm looking for.

    7. Ah I'm lost with all these lovely color ! I wish I could order one of each but obviously, I have to be a bit reasonnable ! :mwahaha

Is there a great difference between moist and normal resin ?
Moist apricot and moist beige seem to be very cute colors, but I love also the opaque tan ones, milky and light tan. I hesitate between them.

    8. I believe the 'moist' resins are semitransparent, likely Japanese environmental resin or similar.

    9. So Haru has posted comparison pictures of his moist apricot, beige, chocolate and fancy brown colours
      Adori shade comparison photos!
Ugh... I want to grab them all:...(

    10. Where did you find a picture of the light tan? I've been searching for that one myself!

    11. I was all set to order adori in the black pearl color, but then they dropped these fantasy colors on us! I am such a sucker for pink...*_*

    12. Thanks so much! I have 12 tabs open each with at least one, but usually more, colors open on my computer. This was the only one I somehow could not find! :)

    13. Have you decided which colour resin youre going with ? ( Im assuming you are ordering this order period lol)
And my Kiki ( Moist chocolatte V2 girl Adori) should be home next week - Im looking forward to having her home. :3nodding: Ive really missed her :love

    14. All I can say is I had no idea how indecisive I am. Apparently more than 5 choices sends me into a tailspin. I *think* I am getting milky tan. I have changed my mind so many times All the owner photos here only make me want more colors, lol.

    15. It IS kind of crazy trying to track down all the colors! And yes, all the wonderful choices! I narrowed it down to five....then finally took the plunge and ordered smiling elf in leaf green. If he offers the elves again, I am going to go for Jade. And then grey, cream brown, and black pearl.

    16. I know! I was planning to order my girl in milky tan...then in soft tan...and most recently in the cacao tan!

Then the leaf green really appealed to me - I do love the fantasy colors in doll lines!

I still can't commit to anything. My spouse is baffled that I want the same doll, just with a new skin color, and suggested that I really ought to just wait until Adori's sisters are immortalized in doll form before I buy another. I see the wisdom of that, but then I see those pictures of those sweet little faces, and I just want all of them in every color.

I'm so glad that this is such a long order period.

    17. I ordered smiling adori in fantasy cream brown. I appreciated how helpful they were with my questions and posting a comparison of moist beige and cream brown as I couldn't decide between the two.

Does everyone do their own faceups or send them out? I'm tempted to try my own again but will need new supplies. I have a problem with faceups rubbing off as I handle my bjds tons for clothes fitting and photos and if I do it my self I can spray more coats of sealer and hopefully the faceup will last longer than a few days which has happened on my latest ones I sent out.

    18. It's been a while for me too, but I am planning to do my little boys' faceups myself.
My chosen artist is backed up a bit, and I'm out of money anyway. :sweat

    19. I plan on doing my own for now. I am not great at them, but I find I tend to enjoy my dolls in a more comfortable way if I paint them.

If anyone else is looking for an example of light tan in the Adori, this picture is from Haru Castings Flickr account and is light tan.

I have a really hard time imagining how things will look, so any Adoris I find in a stated color are helpful, lol. You'd think I was making a decision that affected millions with the thought I'm putting into this!
