Haute Doll Exclusive Marie Antoinette-inspired PeaksWood Sky

As soon as I saw the doll on the cover of HauteDoll I went home and purchased my doll 7/16. I thoght they would sell out first, and in my excitement to get her I purchased the doll and then went on to purchase the outfits, only to find everything sold out. I emailed Marlene at HauteDoll and she informed me of the restock in August. I would love to have the complete line. I expect them to sell out just as immediately as the first items did and am thinking it will probably difficult! I guess I'm just frustrated.

 

The sale date for the items, 7/15, was announced on their site and at DoA. And as a subscriber, I received several emails from Haute Doll about the time and date of the sale. All the clothing and accessories sold out in under a half hour. And many of us who placed orders within minutes of the sale's start had items from our order canceled.

My understanding of the "restock" was that they were making enough items for those who had items canceled, and possibly whatever is left might go on the website. I don't believe it is a full restock, unless they have changed their minds.

I understand your frustration, as many people hadn't gotten the magazine itself yet when the sale began, but the date and time of the sale was very public. You may be able to get some things in August, or maybe on the secondary market here. Good luck!

Thanks so much!! I keep checking on ebay but I haven't had much luck.. I have also heard that there might be some items on the DoA marketplace but I am too new a member to check it out. Oh well the hunt continues!!

 

There are some on the marketplace - the prices vary. There's also ebay. It's not so hard to get enough posts to view the marketplace. If you look through the galleries of photos, it's easy to post how much you like someone's doll, and actually mean it! :-)

It might not work, but you could keep contacting HauteDoll about having bought the doll and wanting the full-set... I think they were trying to get all the pieces to the people who bought the full-set, so you might have an edge (very slight, sadly) having bought the doll...

Otherwise, it'll be tough, I think. I've only seen a few sellers re-selling the items in the Marketplace and ebay and the prices are higher, of course...

has anyone heard anything from HD this week about the back orders?

I talked to them last thursday and they said the entire shipment had been held up in US customs for 3 weeks!!!

I was wondering too - since it's past early August! Though, to be honest, in the ABJD world, I always tack on at least 2 weeks to any given date. I understand most everything (dolls, clothes) is hand done and takes time. It's a hobby you need patience for!

I hope customs won't hold them up too much longer!

Do you think Haute Doll will announce any items they put on their website, or will they just quietly put them up?

I heard from them today and they have restocked and are mailing out back orders starting today. This doesn't help me though as I never ordered the clothes in time.
I would love to buy the hoop slip, bustle, panniers, etc. I think I could make the dresses but the underthings would be more difficult, even if I could find a pattern! Le sigh!

 

Thanks for the info! It doesn't help me much either, though. I was way too sick the morning the items were released for me to get to my computer.
I want wig HD-32 and the wired pannier so bad! I really hope some items do show up on the website!

 

All of the Young Marie Antoinette costumes, wigs, shoes and accessories are in our office. We received delivery from Customs yesterday and today. Back orders will be filled first and all the rest will be posted on our website as soon as back orders are filled. Thanks so much for patience. They have been held up in customs for over a month!

I saw the announcement in the News section and was sure I'd be too late... but there WERE quite a few things available! Now I worry that it'll be like last time--that ordering doesn't necessarily mean I'll actually GET the items! Hmmm... I guess we'll see!

I ordered some things, too! I don't know how I missed all of this before. I mostly just ordered underthings, I have a weakness for chemises and corsetry, lol.

I had to subscribe to Haute Doll, haha, I don't even like fashion dolls #^_^#
My hubby's going to think I've gone nuts when those things start arriving at the door! XD

I ordered a lot of thiings and they sent me a copy of the order right away. Then a few hours later, they sent another email saying they no longer had the pannier and so I couldn't have it. I am really very disapointed!

However, if they no longer have the items you ordered, they would have emailed you by now. So there is still hope!
