Haute Doll Exclusive Marie Antoinette-inspired PeaksWood Sky

I placed 3 orders the day the items came out because I kept going back for more. Later in the day, I got a shipment notice for the 3rd order, but not for the other two. I bet they haven't shipped because I had a pannier in each of the first two orders to go with both dresses I bought, but I didn't get any email from Haute Doll about it except for my order confirmations. I checked my spam folder and everything, but there's just no email. Did they ship your order yet (without the pannier)?

It sucks they have no panniers, though. It's really a very important item! The dresses will never look right without them!

 

I know- and I feel your pain-really!
I was on their site the minute they started selling and ordered the under garments and pannier. They must have had very few and they were sold out in the first ten minutes or so...
So I am looking to commisson one or to find a pattern to make one myself. The trouble is I don't know the measurements of the Haut Dall pannier. If the pannir size isn't correct the dresses won't fit right!
Does anyone out there have the pannier and are you willing to measure it for me. I need width across front, depth front to back, and length at top and bottom. Circumference would be good also, so I can make the right sized hoops.
I haven't checked my order status but I will do so today. Let me know when you get your order.

 

Their panniers are enormous! Here are the measurements:

14" across the front

Depth - the ribbons that are sewn inside to help it keep it's shape are 5", so
that is the depth it is meant to have.

The bones the run around the panniers are about 2.5" apart and 3/8" wide.

The back is 12.5" tall from hem to ribbon at the waist. The front is almost 13"

Each side is about 6" from the waist seam, totally 14" wide at the top.

Since the original panniers I ordered were canceled, I just used a tulle slip, and then crumpled some tissue paper and stuffed it under the skirt to poof it out. It seems to have worked fine, and you can't see it.

I'm glad I got a pannier from the reorder - but it's enormous! I'm not sure who is going to wear it!

I placed an order first thing on Friday morning also, but I haven't received any sort of confirmation email or shipping notice. I did see that Haute Doll pulled the wired pannier off of their site very early on though, so I figured that they sold out quickly. And I did order one of them as well, so I wonder if that is what is causing the hold up with the orders? Also, I was really surprised by how many things were still listed late Friday afternoon (after 3pm CST), so I emailed HD to see if they were really still available, and the answer was yes. I'm not sure that everything currently listed is still available, however. Also, keep in mind, that at least some of the people from Haute Doll went to the BJD convention in Austin this weekend. So, hopefully, we will hear something tomorrow.

Your measurements sound very accurate. I will try to make one of these when I receive my dress order. In the meantime I will gather the materials.

Your doll is beautiful! I like J. A. K.els wigs myself. I'd love to see your doll in the Marie Antoinette outfits now that you have all the pieces.

 

I also ordered on the 24 the two wigs that were not from the original set and never got a confirmation email. I believe my credit card was charged but my account doesn't actually show the charge yet just the deduction of the money. I think they just may be a little behind with the emails otherwise they just charged me and aren't sending anything .

Funny thing as soon as I posted this I heard you have mail and it was my confirmation!!!

 

I never got a confirmation or shipping notice for my first order, but I did get an email about the 2nd order today, saying my pannier was cancelled. (As I previously mentioned, I went back 3 times and ordered items.)

Also, as of today, Monday, I noticed that all the items have been removed from the Haute Doll site. They were all in stock about midnight last night when I checked. It makes me doubt what HD said earlier about everything being in stock when they were all up. When I tested it on Saturday, there was no limit to the number of each item I could put in my cart, so I think that means that the actual number of items in stock has nothing to do with the ordering system on the website. I imagine there will be a lot of people getting emails with cancelled orders today.

 

you're right. last Thurs I got a Click 'n' Ship notice that my back-ordered items had shipped. I called to see if the brown print dress that had disappeared from my shopping cart in the first order was available. HD said yes, two of them. so, I grabbed one the next morning and it shipped via DHL the same day!

I was tempted by all the goodies as they stayed up so long, but figured they were a mirage.

it's so cool that HD and DollHeart fulfilled the backorders, but a shame someone wasn't tending the website to pull off the sold out items.

 

You're right - they're all down! I'm glad I grabbed what I did. I've gotten shipping notices for everything I ordered, and no cancelations. (Of course, I didn't buy the panniers this time out...)

I'm really curious how many people will have things canceled, since they stayed up so long - and what kind of quantities they had of everything.

I wonder if they took things down so they could take stock and they'll be putting things back up, or if everything really did sell out?

 

I just received a shipping notification from HD for the second order that I placed. I did not receive an email confirmation from HD, but the DHL email lists all of the included items, and I am getting everything that I ordered -- including the brown floral dress! I still haven't heard anything about my first order though. It must be those wired panniers that are holding things up.

Also, I received my backordered items from HD on Friday which included the aqua/pink dress, purple dress, purple shoes, white shoes and the HD-32 wig. I really like both of the dresses. The purple one is a darker, more subdued color than in the picture, but I think that it looks very elegant. The wig is wonderful too, although I did have some trouble with it slipping off since it is rather top heavy. Kellyhime suggested that I try a rubberband around my doll's head to help keep the wig on and this worked quite well. Also, that wig doesn't stretch as much as the curly wig (HD-34 which I had gotten earlier), so it is more difficult to put on. And I haven't gotten around to trying out the shoes yet.

 

I'm wondering how these outfits that are supposed to be limited to 20 can still be available at all... Are they having a lot of order cancellations or did they make more than 20 sets of everything???

I ordered a bunch of stuff last night around 10pm (the brown dress, the blue floral dress, a wig, tulle slip, blue shoes, peach shoes and pink hat) and just got a DHL shipping notice about an hour ago which lists all the item numbers I ordered. I'll take that as a confirmation that I'm getting everything I wanted.

Definitely weird how it all disappeared this morning... I may have missed some of this discussion. Can anyone tell me if they've decided to make more than 20 of everything?

 

confusing! looks like at least three of us got the brown print dress when I was told there were only 2. guess someone canceled? I was like a Ninja shopper - hiyah! in and out in less than five minutes.

I magically got my HD-32 wig today even though I never got a shipping notice for it. My order confirmation says it's supposed to be mohair, and I certainly thought it was. But this really looks like regular snythetic wig fiber and doesn't look like the picture. It also has long trailing curls which the picture didn't have any. I bought it because I wanted a shorter wig and this isn't short because of the curls.

Anyone who got this wig in the first batch, is your wig like this?

edit: I just looked more closely at the pics of it I saved. I guess it does have curls on the bottom, these are just a bit bigger than I expected. But it doesn't look like mohair to me.

 

Mine looks like that and seems to be mohair or at least the same material as the rest.

 

Items are back up on the HD web site. I guess that they did pull everything to take stock of what was left. I'm really surprised to see that all of the dresses are still available, and the black and white shoes are back in stock too. I wonder if HD had to re-order 20 more of everything in order to fill the backorders? I'm really tempted to order more....

 

I wonder if they did have to do a complete reorder? The white shoes are adorable, if I hadn't already spent a fortune, I'd buy another pair! :-)

I finally got my Marie into one of her dresses(took me a bit to get everything in the right place ) and snapped some quick pictures. Sorry for the spam.

 

I just put up a pair of stockings (too tight!) and the white full shoes with the heel I SO wish they fit but they are too slim for my hyper they are really slim. I have the flat white shoes too and they are also very slim they fit my MSD doll for across the foot and the ankle but are long. However I am going to keep the flats as they actually look ok on my MSD as weird as that sounds.
