  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     2. I have postponed box opening for heads and only do box omening pics whenever a doll is going to be completed via body arrival ;)

      like i did with my chiwoo girl,Rion.

    3. I've never postponed a box opening. I'm usually way too excited to wait, and if I was having a bad day, a doll could only make me feel better! And like others have said, it's too risky to wait if the doll happened to be broken. I would only postpone a box opening if there was an emergency.

    4. Only a few hours, but I will definitely open it within the day it arrived, even if just to check they are not broken or not. And also cos I'm impatient! Haha.

    5. I did this last year with a doll my husband bought me for Christmas, and then we worked it out where we opened our presents a couple of days early because he had to work on the 26th and we wanted a full day to enjoy being together and playing with our Christmas presents. ;)

      As for a tragedy-related postponement, I'd probably be such a sobby mess that I wouldn't be able to do anything but wipe my eyes and blow my nose for a while, let alone open a box and enjoy a BJD I'd just received.

    6. I haven't ordered the doll I want yet, but I do have to postpone his box opening when he gets here.
      My friend and I will unbox him together and she doesn't really live right around the corner.
      So yeah... but I don't really mind because I totally love my friend and it feels extra special with friends helping you X3 (besides, she's considering getting a doll one day herself :P)

    7. Well... I waited a bit on my first doll because I DID have a problem when I bought him. The company sent the wrong doll, I had to send the first away and I wasn't sure they could get another to me because he was limited--so it was a really difficult time. About a month later they said they could send me the doll I wanted--and I was very relieved--but I'd already been through a scary Box Opening, so I wasn't in any hurry.

      I had my box... and I was to meet some doll friends at a con and told them I'd bring my doll. I waited the few days and opened the box when I met with them. It was a GOOD thing... they had their dolls with them and I had no clothes or anything for my doll--so they loaned me some for photos. It was sort of a Box Opening and mini meetup all in one!

      So I felt much better about my first doll after that! :)

    8. I've only had one box opening and no one was home. xD; So I called my mom at work gushing how adorable my new doll is. (Was afraid to take him out of the box, though!)

    9. the longest i've waiting between getting the box and opening it was 3.5hrs...that was because i got the box from the post office after it missed being signed for at my house, then had to go to the base and comessary for groceries...with him in his box in the car the whole time....got home and went to open him, my mom had me wait for her to get out of the BR so she could watch....longest 3.5hrs ever....

    11. No. Even if I have to wait to have it, like it's for Christmas or my birthday, I have to open it right away and make sure nothing is broken or anything. Plus, when you're upset, what better way to cheer you up than a beautiful doll?

    12. I'm thinking about postponing my doll opening a day or two, so my friend can be with me when I open her. But if I had gotten her in or around a bad situation, I might want to open her even more. I'd be a comfort for me, something to cheer me up and make me happy. The doll has nothing to do with the event going on in my life, so I wouldn't associate the doll with the event. That's just me, though.
      I say if you wanna postpone opening it, go ahead and wait. There's nothing wrong with that. But if you wanna open her that's cool, too.

    14. I postponed my first girl's box opening, only for a few hours though! My friend and I wanted to record her opening together, so I waited for her to come over. I would have never been able to hold off any longer though, I really had to fight the urge to rip her opened myself!
