1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Have you made provisions for your dolls if you die?

May 15, 2005

    1. I know when I die, I don't want to my boy to be buried with me. I feel like he should be given to one of my heirs or someone I know who will take care of him. I wouldn't want him to be buried and be bored until the earth explodes.

    2. It is a no-brainer here...Dd who is as much into Bjd's (and covets mine) will get them...actually she has pointed this out to me..Mama, I get your dolls when you die right?!

    3. I fully expect that mine will be sold when I die. :B Especially Suigintou.

    4. If I ever died I'd probably give one to my boyfriend/fiance for him to always remember me by... Because I know he would cherish it after I moved on and treat it the same he treated me.
      Another would go to my friend, and the other to another friend. Two friends who I know would take excellent care of them.

    5. If I ever, for some unfathomable reason, breed and have children, I will most definitely pass down my dolls to them or grandchildren, if they're old enough. :`D That will probably be the least strange thing I will leave them when I kick the bucket.

    6. When I kick the bucket, I'm giving all my dolls to Sammi, my best friend. And she's going to be buried with her's....^^;;;

    7. Mine will be going to my daughters if I die post having kids, or they'll go to my girlfriend/sister if I die pre-kids.

    8. yes

      My brother and sister are instructed to contact my two dollies friends so they can help my siblings to sell my doll collection since mine is "large" LOL LOL

      I hope they will find good homes to go to

    9. I haven't made any provisions but I would probably like my dolls to be auctioned off and have the proceeds go to charity.

    10. If i died my dolls will be buried with me!! ;P

    11. Last summer when my sister had leukemia and she didn't think she'd make it, she told me specifically she wanted her best friend to have her Peroth boy and she wanted me to take care of her Heliot and Madoka. Well she made it and still got to keep her dollies but I think this is probably pretty common!

    12. I thought it might be odd to think about something like this...but turns out it wasn't. ^_^;

      If something happened to me my best friend Ra-chan would get my dolls. She's my roleplaying partner and owns the 'other halves' of all our couples anyway.

    13. My hubby said he would keep mine, but I would have him sale certain one's on ebay since he cannot access my account here.

    14. don't laugh but I'm taking one with me and the rest will divided between my grand kids and my neices...one of the kids already ask GmaG (grandma) I want the one with the big boobies..and yes it was one of the grandsons..lol

    15. Wow, tossed into the sea? That would be interesting for whoever finds it! "AAAAAAUGH! Tiny person wrapped in seaweed! MONSTER! Oh wait... creeeepyyyyy... I'm keepin it!"

      My plan is pretty unimaginative. I'd like for my hubby to keep my original characters and the rest would likely be sold, if he could figure out how much each is worth. I dunno, maybe I'd want Kristos buried with me. lol My hubby might claim Beryl, he says she's his since I left her naked on the sofa too long while I was working on her dress. o.O He wants to do things to her... Naughty things.. *Ahem!* Anyway! XD

    16. I suppose I would want my family to have them and if they wanted they could sell them off to pay for funeral expenses and what not. I would just want them to go to someone who would enjoy them so maybe my family could sell them off to other collectors.

    17. Heh, maybe I'd will my entire remaining fortune to Mikah just to tick everyone off- I think that would be immensely entertaining: Mikah, a 'tacky' little Bobobie An worth like 800,000 XD
      More seriously though, they'd go to whichever of my children loved them best- I mean, I'm 19 so no kids yet, but eventually, each kid will get to pick the dolls they love the most, that are most like them etc. and then they'll get to keep 'em when I die. And so on. Or maybe I'll donate them to like... a dolly museum or something.

    18. I think I will get my daughter (if I ever had one that is) to continue on the love for my dolls, seems most reasonable >.>

    19. My dream would be for my doll to be displayed in the Volks museum for everyone to admire. I only have one, so I don't think it's such a big request...

    20. I will give my dolls to my sister, and come back to haunt my favorite baby....:sweat
