Have your dolls hurt you?

Tamboy's S hoosliced open my thumb... of my pliers using hand of course, the brat!

The first time I restrung my EID, I got the S hook caught in his neck so it took two of us, the hubby pulling his body down and me pulling the hook up to get it out. Until the shook slipped out of the pliers and snapper down pinning my index finger 1rst joint under it. Hurt like blazes, I wouldn't be surprised if it cracked the bone, it hurt bad enough!

 

I had my Heliot sitting on my lap and he snapped forward suddenly and poked my cheek with his horn. It didn't feel to good. There was not damage done. I'm just grateful it wasn't my eye

 

Viktor's pinched me before. And not too long ago he was satisfied sitting in the middle of my bed and didn't want to move. As soon as I sat on the other side of him, he fell to the side and stabbed me in the arm with his ear >.<;

 

My dolls like to fall on me. I was at an anime con and I had my doll on my table (I sell at cons), I was measuring her for a blouse and bloomers set. Next thing I know, as I'm sitting there stitching, I get a huge THWACK on the head. I was completely startled and actually fell back in my chair while my friend sat there laughing his ass off. She's done it twice now, and only when I am sewing for her -.-

 

Rofl I actually have XD I got cut and I don't know how o.O I just remember going heeeee *poke*

 

Restringing is hell for all of us I'm sure... When I was putting Haneul's head cap back on after restringing her - I accidentally loosened my grip for a second and it squished my my fingers between the S-hook and lid...! Lets not get into when I had to put her feet back in... Restringing is definitely a lot of work + danger!

 

Oh yes, while restringing them I always end up with cut or bruises in my hands! And I remember, the first day my kirill arrived, he was so tense that while trying to sit and stand him up, he "bite" me with the knees articulations xDDD (Now I laugh but in that moment it hurt xDDD).

 

My DZ wing mould nips my thumb all the time and he headbutts too lol

 

Token loves to hurt me! His elastic is super tight, so often when I'm restringing him I end up getting pinched by getting my finger caught in it, or his s-hooks enjoy gouging into my flesh. I've bled all over on and into him because of things like this. ^^; He likes to smack me and enjoys falling on me as well.

My roomie's doll has thunked her sharp little nose into me a few times.. x-x That HURTS it's pointy. -laughs- Her ears(she's a Shoyo-3 with cat ears) have also sprung into my fingers a few times while I was trying to change her wig and she enjoys kicking me when I'm dressing her.

My AE has a non-magnetic headcap, which means his head is held on via s-hook in the headcap..which needless to say makes changing his eyes or restringing him a painful process as the headcap likes to snap down and pinch my finger rather viciously..^^; Din likes to hurt me and anybody else who has to deal with his head. -laughs-

 

This fortunately didn't happen to me - but I was there when it happened. My girlfriend and I were moving some heads around between our dolls and she was taking the head off of her DZ Floy, Isilme. I was getting his S-hook turned and she was holding him between her legs. I let the S-hook down and all was well but when the tension changed from stretched to tight again - he bit her thighs!

It caught the skin between his torso joints and left two huge nasty pinch bruises on her inner thighs for a week. I guess she must have squeezed him a bit harder when I had just pulled up the S-hook!

 

That was sooo much fun. It's a good thing I love that boy.

 

The most evil my dollies have done is stab me mutliple times with their ears. At times in the most awkward of ways. My boy doll has stabbed me in the butt, on the tounge, and pretty much every finger and a few spots on my legs. Nyx is kinder she's just poked me on the arm and on the cheek.

 

I've been pinched by Valentino a once or twice. The first time he did, he took some skin with him.

 

Haha, this has happened multiple times while I was restringing Shin and Azel, but I used to use thin wire instead of a ribbon/something less dangerous to pull the elastic through. Shin's was so tight that the wire cut through my finger and made some nice swirly marks on it.

I think every project comes with a minor injury.

 

XD My Chrome kicked me when I took him out of his box and when I tried to sit him down! I got a nasty bruise on my arm because of that. I also got headbutted right in the middle of my forehead while fixing his pants and got stabbed by s-hook on my finger when I pulled the string for his hand...>.>

 

Once I got my finger pricked with the edge of some crystal eye when I was putting it on my shushu; and a few days ago my leg was stuck between the neck and the head of my larger one, when I was assembling him after having tightened him (he's really tight now). That was my fault to hold him between my legs while I stretched with one hand and put the things in order with the other ^^u

 

Oh, I've been beat up by Kizimir via headbutt a uncountable amount. xD It hurts...a lot. xD I also have Aoi who's attempted to headbutt me.

 

Atrus tends to have fits now and then, I've been headbutted several times, hard. I sliced my finger pretty badly trying to get Pip's head back on her body with a safety pin when I first got her. I learned and now use a hook instead. XD

 

After reading this, I am very scared about BJDs xD. But still, a little injury can never stop a passion for them, can it .
