Have your dolls hurt you?

Thanks, I think she was out to get me because I left her in the box for awhile untill I was able to restring her again (Needless to say it was three weeks...) I understand why she did it now lol.

@ Sundaes: My girl is a Yo sized, and I believe requires a bit of muscle on the arms and hands part...HEY! This should be a work out (You train the muscles, get the injuries, and still get no further than when you started) Sounds like a exercise plan to me~!

 

When restringing in the past I have injured myself and it hurts BAD! XD!! Over time, I have learned to be far more careful though!

 

I cut my arm pretty good on the mailbox when my latest doll arrived. I think it'll leave a scar, but it's not her fault. The funniest part of it was that I didn't even notice it until I got home. I felt like such a dummy, too.

 

This thread always gives me fears about re-stringing dolls...
I'm still new to all that. The problem is that my hands don't work properly so I can myself getting injured!

 

While stringing my Adelheid, the tool slipped and punctured my hand.

Lesson learned.

 

I've cut myself a couple of times whilst restringing too, although I'm not sure what on exactly. o.o

 

similar to mel-mel-chan, on the box opening day...I was lying on the bed and trying to make my DOT boy stand...suddenly his upper body bent forward and his nose hit right on my head!!!...that pain lasts about 30 seconds long!!!...luckly, my boy was safe~DOD did such a good job~= =b...

 

The day my doll came home I was dressing him and pulled his pants over his bubble butt and he nailed me in the chin with his foot. T.T
He really knows how to make a first impression. Only a couple pinches restringing him, nothing horrible yet. He's still a brat. >>

 

this part made me laugh so hard i fell off the chair.

anyways, so far, i trought this kind of accidents would never happen to me... until i decided to try putting Haru's legs back (she's a quadruple amputee, in her story, she decides to get some prosthetic legs at one point, but i still have to upload the photostory)
well... since i removed her arms and legs on my own, she was strung quite strangely (floppy in some parts and tight in others °_°)
after 1 hour, when i finished the work, my hands were literally bleeding °_°
i'm not very strong, my hands are way smaller than average, and i didn't expect that stupid string to be so damn finger-breaking evil.
the worst thing is, i liked her better without legs

I've gotten the good old Dollshe pinch from my newest boy. Mainly though, my injuries have all come from stringing. Ridiculous amounts of injury. It's insane. Any way you could hurt yourself that way, I've probably done it. Not the funnest thing on the block.

 

Just this morning when I was dressing my dolls and entwining his body with fabric, his knee joint bit down on my index finger, and it still does sting. When I opened him for the first time, i held in and I lifted him to the light, cause I saw a small mark on his face, he bent forward and smacked my eye. It was soon followed by a kick in the chin, a slap. The next day, I was taking him out of his bed, he kicked me, and for that entire day, I was being kicked and slapped. And it still happens even today haha.

 

Haha yeah! One of my boys got a new body and I was playing about with it to see how well it posed and what the stringing was like, etc. So I bent him forward at the stomach joint to see if it would hold but it snapped back suddenly, catching the side of my finger. All I can say is ouch! That one made my eyes water! Left quite a mark too! lol

 

When i bought Clavis home he heavily hurt my bank account =.=

But i didn't need reminding of the various bruises and bumps from his almighty headbutt D<

 

Heck, yes.
Once I was changing Skye's shirt and all of a sudden her arm(well, elbow area) popped out of its socket, and a hook stabbed my hand. Dx

 

Jasper likes to pinch my fingers.... once he almost pulled an entire nail off. *i should really cut my nails*

 

When i first got Dongwan i was so excited that his head went whack on my nose! that hurt but thank god no blood

 

Frackin' head cap. Grrrrr. Hurts my muscles first of all. I'm no body builder. Then, it pinches and squeezes my fingers. It nearly breaks my nails. I HATE S-hook connected headcaps. So much.

 

LOL! I had Echo sitting on the desk and I had dropped something, I bent down to pick it up and when I did I must have bumped him. He fell straight into the middle of my back and his head hit my head. Guh, I had ringing in my ears, and a sharp pain. Tough love. :P

 

First time i took Zephyr outta the box he head butted me right between the eyes . . .

 

HAHA! OMG that's insanely funny. (sorry about you getting hurt though!)
