1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. One gender, please. My family would freak out if I had a tranny-doll. :sweat

    2. hgkkkk----!!!!!!!

    3. I guess that once you set your mind to it, you can't look at anything in a different way.
BUT Marguerite happens to be a drag king ;)

    4. I think when I get my DZ Megi boy in, I'm going to rip his head off and put it on a DZ MSD girl's body instead. Does that count as gender flopping? :sweat

    5. The only doll I have that 'switches genders' is my fox. Sometimes I want it to be a girl, sometimes a little boy. I wanted a girl, but I couldn't be choosy for the price. It's an animal doll though so I guess it's just sorta both already.

    6. Alll of mine are one gender. They change characters all the time in a sense but always of the same sex.

    7. Mine's a girl ^__^

    8. Most of my dolls are boys, and would remain so even wearing frilly girly-things. However, I can see the attraction of a truly gender-bending doll - for one thing, it's one way to get the most possible mileage out of one doll, lol! For the most part, my dudes wear 'guy' stuff, with the odd femme accessory tossed in for a laugh. I can see the temptation to cross-dress, though - dresses are so pretty, and so much easier to make (and have them look good) than jeans, docs, and plaid shirts.

There is something wonderful, though, about the look of a woman in a man's suit, like Marlene Dietrich or Anne Lennox.

    9. Well... I do not have a doll yet, but the one I want will represent a character...

But If that character ever changes or I am tired of him I will change the doll accordingly :>

Except for the sex change... he will be girly enough XD

    10. I have Obitsu dolls, so they're not anatomically correct. I bought Ligeia to be a boy--I even had the male chest on her--but she wouldn't cooperate! I finally gave in and let her be herself, and we've all been much happier since.

    11. Loren was supposed to be sort of gender-neutral. I chose his sculpt partially with that in mind. Then he got here, and he's...kind of not neutral. He's a boy. He's not fussy or agressive about it, but he's male. I could put him in a dress and he may or may not hate me for it, but he'd still be male.

    12. None of my dolls are neutral gendered. They're all either girls or either boys for me.

    13. My current dolls are just one sex.

But I am thinking about a doll which is between sexes. Not really male, not really female. But I am not sure if I can work that out.

    14. :lol:even if i make my boy to be a gay character, i don't think i'l put on female outfits on him. in real life, there are gay guys who act even more masculine than a lot of straight ones, and they just couldn't see themselves looking like priscilla queen of the desert. lol! they do have finer taste in male fashion though that is why i will never have a gay character for a boy doll simply because i will never be able to afford all those expensive doll outfits.

    15. if i have a female doll, she will most probably be like those cy girls type and will never ever wear those cute pink lacy outfits but a pink wig will do just like jennifer garner's "alias" character.

    16. First off... I am an androgyne. DEFINATELY NOT asexual. :XD: I am not just pansexual but OMNIsexual. hehe. But I really dont identify with either gender specifically, and look and act fairly neutral on that score. I was born female but have a hormonal disorder that, without medication, causes me to be chemically, physiologically male if not fully physically male. So I have never really identified with either female or male as an identity. Therefore its actually really hard for me to create characters that are based on a gender binary. If they arent intersexed, they're FABULOUS, you know? :XD:

Currently I have one bigendered/hermaphroditic doll. I effectively fell into referring to him as a 'he' because he is a minimee based on Mana-sama, who is biologically male. Really he is an 'it' by current cultural standards, but dont get me started on how I dispise that particular pronoun (like it takes away all identity and personhood if you arent either a boy or girl definitively or something. :eyeroll ). His character is a chimaera. He is both male and female at the same time, so he never 'switches'.... he just is.

    17. I always change personalities for Violet, and now that I think about it, I change them according to my current state of mind or my current interests. I have gone through many different styles myself and he just reflects that. He used to be quite the innocent boy at first, then generally nice and kind, then something of a model rockstar, then for a while he didn't have a gender and personality at all, and now he is a glamorous tranny who adores the colour purple.

Must be because I don't see my dolls as individual characters, they are just dolls. I express my creativity through them. The only time I wanted them both to have strongly set personalities what when I first got them, but it was mostly because every other doll owner I knew did the same. I soon found out that just wasn't my thing. I prefer certain things to change, keeps it interesting.

    18. Needed a fourth option.
My girls are GIRLS, "chest size". My boys look male. But puki, he is both. He because he is the Cupid set.
There are a few mini's that I'd like to get that I would dress them both ways.

    19. ...this was not something I had even considered. However, I suppose it is possible, with some of the more bishounen heads floating around.

However....there is the whole "boob" issue. I mean, can you usually buy separate boobs? How does that work?? Or would I have to make my doll a drag queen with fakies? :sweat

    20. My dolls are all one gender/personality. I would never have a gender bending doll, I wouldn't have a tranny doll and I wouldn't 'change' my dolls personality or character either. Once they are who they are, they would never be anything else to me.
