@Zaliayn, @RinSetsua - thanks! i'm so happy yes, shimmer is not a cover like blush, it's the inlay in resin
@Foxxx Congrats! Ahhh, I'm delighted for you! She looks amazing and I really really hope I'm able to get mine too soon!
She looks great! The shine really adds to the sculpt in a beautiful way. Mine is still stuck on the Russia/Finland border - it hasn't moved to the Finnish side yet, but I know that they're pretty clogged up and that it can take a few extra weeks just at this stage. I got an another package from there a bit earlier, and it did the same waiting game.
@Foxxx, congratulations on the arrival of your doll, she looks great! The combination of shimmer and resin color complements each other well. We could somehow meet and take photos of our lizards together if you have such a desire and opportunity. @ronnie92, i wish your doll to get to you faster. It's interesting to see what it'll be like! I read that one dark gray went to Finland, maybe this is yours? And here is another photo of my Sahit:
@abris Oh, yours looks so gorgeous! The dark grey should be mine, but sadly seems to be stuck in postal limbo. Has been sitting still on the border (russian side) since august 11th and from what I've heard from other Finnish collectors, for some it has taken several months to get to the Finnish side. Seems like their postal service in that area is still very backed up. But thankfully I've got a tracking code and it's just a matter of waiting now.
@abris, thanks! Sadly, my work now leaves me practically no time nore energy for meetings , I even haven't taken more photos of my beauty after unboxing (( @ronnie92, there is a local joke that Russian Post is the fourth Apocalypse rider... sorry )
I got an update from the artist saying my doll is delayed. If I am honest, with the track record I totally expected that! But hopefully it won’t be delayed too long. The doll must be really difficult to cast (especially going by the price increase on newer Sahits) so I am not upset that casting will take longer than a month. So long as it is within the next month or so before the UK yeets itself out of the international community and into the stone age will be fine. After that, I suspect my BJD purchasing days will be over!
My Sahit has arrived! I took some images for my insta for it -- the doll is gorgeous but with all the communication issues I wouldn't order from the company again.
Thank you, all! I am very happy to have her after the long wait. The engineering is not only gorgeous but very functional as well. The poseability is awesome.
I didn’t really want to have to say this, but there still isn’t a peep about my doll, it’s back to silence. Worrying for me, because I am running out of time for anything from the EU. I have sent a prod and I really hope it is actually finished on the other end.
Double-post; but no response still. I don’t want to jump to conclusions just yet, but it isn’t as though the track record is amazing. Am I the only one in this thread still waiting for their doll?
I know there's others who haven't gotten theirs - I haven't heard of anyone getting theirs after mine
I am so happy to report my doll is just about finished! I was sent photos and she is almost ready to go, should be shipping next week. I am unbelievably excited!
And update, my doll has shipped! Supposedly photos will go up of her on the artist’s social media, so if you see a salmon-pink Sahit, there is a good chance that is mine. I hope she travels to me quickly!
My doll should be arriving today! (edit: scratch that, they never knocked and she was returned to the post office haha) In the meantime, I thought I would drop this here: for 24 hours only, there is a Sahit doll up for auction on the artist’s instagram. If anybody wants a Sahit but would like to buy premade, here is another chance for one of the premade ones!
