1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Heterochromia?

Feb 6, 2017

    1. My DV Anne has heterochromia. When I got them, I noticed that the eye holes were a bit more asymmetrical than I expected. Rather than be disappointed with the red eyes that came with them looking weird, I took one out and put a clouded pink eye in instead. The character took off from there and gained a rather Alice in Wonderland background character feel.

    2. My Crobidoll Lance girl. I got this doll years ago so I don't remember how I decided on it. I think I saw it on DoA MP first: two single eyes, one grey one purple-grey, same size and brand, being sold by one seller. I prefer subtle heterochromia and loved those two colours together, so I bought them for my doll. So she has heterochromia.
I've since bought her new eyes (because this old resin pair was yellowing in the sclera), and now she has one grey eye and one grey-blue eye.

I haven't really thought of giving my other dolls heterochromia, but if I do, I like it subtle.

    3. None of my dolls have eyes of two different colors. At least three of them have a different type of heterochromia. It turns out having a ring of one color around the pupil and a separate hue for the rest of the iris is called central heterochromia.

    4. I use odd colors and sizes for certain dolls. It’s a good way to make a doll unique and it’s fun to mix and match fun eyes!
