1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Horses for larger dolls

Sep 12, 2006

    1. I come from the modelhorse hobby (means size 1:10). Our Lusitano Stallion Amadeus will have at least a nice set of Portuguese dressage tack.

With this, it guess there is no more cheating like with the little ones...challenging indeed.

    2. Just a little bump for this thread, we've been a bit stagnant lately. :3

    3. Thanks so much! That's just what I needed.

Unfortunately, Amadeus is still waiting...too many other projects ahead.

    5. Painted? He looks as he had a real coat of fur! He seems to be a really sweet horse.

    6. Wow! You make those horses?!

    7. Beautiful colors! You did a great job!

    8. WOW Pam! I love that chestnut! :D Very different from the others I've seen. The red is so intense!! Gorgeous!! And I love his white socks :)

    9. gah Gorgeous!!! ...I still can not find a Prancer...I'm thinking it will probably be a hopeless cause. I still need to find time to work on my Battat horses...sigh.

    10. I like your pictures pamSD.

    11. Here are a couple pics of my newest SLD Nahar with my CP Lishe "Indis".

    12. Really beautiful. The problem with these horsies is that they need almost as much space as a Shetland Pony.

    13. Wow, he looks so real! What kind of horse is he again?
      Thanks!

    14. Wow, that is just amazing!!! I would love a Nahar for my Celtic girl to ride on! I am in love, lol!

    15. This is awsome ! Very nice picture by the way :)

    16. Thank you Ipledreamer, Dragonlovesdolls and Jayden! He is big as I wanted a BIG to-scale horse for my dolls; and is an easy keeper to stable under my bed or in the closet. He is more the size of a small goat than a shetland pony lol. The next one is going to be even bigger.

    17. Oh goodie....are you starting your Fresian? My kids so need one of those!

    18. please deleted:doh

    19. Hi Pam :). The Friesian is officially underway after many starts and failures...experiments with other media did not work well for me so I'm going back to what I know pretty well: epoxy putty. Randy (Resins by Randy) has given me a lot of tips and great suggestions for the new project. Everyone here on this doll forum who has given critique and feedback are listened to; for instance this new one will be in a "prancing" position with 3 feet balanced on the floor. A heavier breed maybe than a Friesian, maybe I can work it to be a cross between a Friesian and Andalusian. I think only "horse people " would really notice and the main thing is I want him to have a look of life and movement as well as being beautiful. I'm getting alot of inspiration from a book called "The Royal Horse and Rider" with many pics of paintings and monuments throughout history. Lots of huge bronzes in a very similar position as my new project.
ps Pam I wish you great success in this new chapter of your life!

    20. Shulamite, that looks incredible! What do you think about cart-horses?
They're so cool with their massive feet, hypothetically a perfect fit for a more mature looking boy-doll, but probably a nightmare to make unless you modded an existing base to look more cart-horsey...
