Lovely picture! What kind of horse is that? A My Twinn?

 

Aaw, what a beautiful picture! Regarding all those plushie (Happy People or whatever they are called): I have looked at them at our local toy store. My problem with all of them is that are rather long in the back. Good for children to sit on, but Tony looks just funny on them (I had him with me to see how it looks. The people in the shop were very interested in him, but decided not to add BJDs to their product range). I ended up not buying a horse (he told me he prefers his Ironman Suit anyways).

 

Love this thread! I just got a Mytwinn quarter horse to go with my (one and only so far) BJD. I thought I would post a picture for scale comparison. By the way, the quarter horse is on sale right now on the mytwinn site... $59.00. It also comes in dark brown. Shipping via UPS was only about $12 for me in the US, which considering the size of the box is amazing.

Iplehouse SID Stella (62cm) with her Palomino, which I plan to eventually enhance/customize. I think the match is pretty good ... the mytwinn horse makes a small, stocky horse -but larger than a pony -for her. I have an EID (69cm) on the way and will take a photo of the three of them when he arrives.

I like Battat. I found one realistic a while back on Ebay and haven't seen any others like it. I have a pic here from Christmas with a Tonner doll that the horse was a bit big for but my Wiggs girls love the horse. It is perfectly sized. There are also (albeit expensive) BJD horse sculpts on Etsy I saw awhile back. harleyfae

GUYS GUYS GUYS I know a lot of people here don't like the Quarter Horse model from My Twinn BUT I thought you might like to know that they are currently half off online, I just got one with shipping for just shy of $50!!! I have been thinking of getting one for a while now, to customize into a feathered horse for one of my knights. Lo and behold I happen to check the website and they are 50% off!

Yay, thanks for the heads up about the sale! I got two for only a little more than what it would have cost me to get one! (It's my birthday this week, is my excuse!)

I do wonder if it might be possible for a handy sculptor to modify the static pose of the current My Twinn horses.

I've heard in the dolly world that My Twinn is going to stop making any 23" doll stuff or accessories, so this is a Clearance Sale of those horses!

 

Oh yay I'm so happy that you guys could get your own as well! Well I'm glad I got both horses before they are gone forever, it's sad but....after what it took to find my prancer, yeesh. The fact that they are shipping that giant box for $8 must be why they won't be carrying such big accessories anymore.

Maybe I should get a palomino too?! xD

I am so pleased that so many of you are buying in what could be a last chance sale! Don't hesitate would be my advice!

And well remembered Linda! It is Talitha! I took this photo last September when I was talking part in one of those Flickr 'A Doll A Day' photo challenges.......and for the purposes of the prompt I renamed the horse Shadow for one day.
Heheheee.....I like twisting the prompts!

Lucky you! They look great together. Unfortunately the shipping to the Netherlands is over $200......I would so love to own one of this horses.

 

I still can't understand why it would cost $200 to the Netherlands...! Even EMS isn't so expensive when it's a big, heavy doll...! (or is it? It's not so much from China to the US, anyway) Seems weird.

I got sent an entire dollhouse from Germany in a much bigger box than the horse, and it didn't cost that much... Under $100. Ah, well... That is too bad, Biggy.

The horses went back up to normal price on the My Twinn site, but were still on sale at Amazon. ... So I bought another one. I had the palomino already... but was thinking of getting the chestnut as it was on sale... So I did!
