1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Horses for larger dolls

Sep 12, 2006

    1. Moontouched, Thank you so much :D

    2. Well...this is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!

    3. Maybe you could try local artist around your area of living...maybe sculpt one from woods or something by asking them and customizing the horses too.

    4. Could anyone with a My Twinn quarter horse let me know what it weighs? I'd like to calculate actual shipping for it to Australia, since the My Twinn site wants to charge me $400 for 'economy' and $500 for regular shipping, and Amazon won't ship it to Australia at all :|

    5. Just placed an order for MyTwinns horse... I know that my family are going to freak out when they see the size of it but it's so cheap!

Sharnofshade - if you know of anyone in the US, ask them if you can order to send it on to them and then get them to send it on to you?

    6. Has anyone heard how Sheri is doing on her BIG sculpt?

    7. That's exactly what I'd like to do, but I'd like to have an estimate for US->Australia shipping before I ask anyone to help me. I don't want to get any nasty surprises once the horse arrives to them and they're ready to ship it on to me :sweat

    8. It just arrived and the box is really light! The horse is definitely hollow or filled with something super light weight. On the box it says gross carton weight is 3.6kg but the horse itself is a lot lighter than that. I think the double boxing makes it heavier.

      I'll post some photos later

    9. Here are a few images from my box opening...

    10. Oh wow! I really like the stance of this horse!
Did you get a friend to send it to you from The States? Or did you order direct from the company please? Thanks

      Huge congratulations!

    11. Thanks :) I'm actually visiting my sister in law here and ordered it to her house direct from the company. ^^ I'm gonna post it on to my address in the UK and pick it up when I arrive :)

    12. Finally ordered the My twinn horse for my BJDs. Sure wish I had done it years ago when Prancer was available. What a deal for $39!

Update: My horse arrived in time for Christmas. Zera loves her new horse.

    13. Congrats! She looks so beautiful with her new horse :) Also you are right, $39 is a deal :) Do you have plans to customise your horse or leave it as it is?

I just found out that the shipping from the US is extortionate so sadly I'm having to leave it behind :( I was tempted to try and take it in my checked baggage but that means buying more luggage and extra bag allowance. When I next come back to the US I'll try and take it back with me... maybe...

      *cry*

    14. Nauticaa I hope you get a horse for your resins, they are truly beautiful! The best scale horses you will find for the bigger guys. Do try to order one next time you visit,, because that is the only way to get the shipping so low. When I finally tracked down a second hand Prancer it was almost triple the cost I paid for him to ship him, and that was here in the US. Granted, across the country but still...the dimensions of the giant box exceed every standard shipping rate ever. >_< They are so worth it though!!

Laurie your pair is just perfect! She obviously NEEDED a horse :D

It's been over a year and I still haven't customized my QH twinn, so have a little spam of Fawn with Moonshade, his Prancer <3

    15. Oh no!!!!!
I am so sorry......would paying for excess baggage be a cheaper way of getting it home?

      And great photo Moontouched!

    16. I haven't posted a photo of My Nahar (known here as Groan) with my SD13 Isao (named Navarre) so here they are.
I love the size of this horse with the 60cm dolls.

    17. PamSD,
I like Hahar so much, they are completely in the right scale. They look great together.

    18. Yes, I plan to customize my horse. I asked Pam for some tips and appreciate her sharing tips on painting. There is also a tutorial thread here - http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php/249317-mytwinn-horse-customizing-tutorial

I will share photos when he is complete. I am so very sorry you were unable to take your horse home with you.

Moontouched- thank you. Your Prancer horse is fantastic. I would love to have one of those too.

    19. hello!

i have a request and wish someone could help me. i am looking for a horse to sit an iplehouse EID, are these my twinn horses up to scale? looking back on this thread i've seen pictures of EID girls, but no boys, can someone please take a pic of a big guy on the horse and next to it! it would help me sooo much before i decide to purchase a horse. thank you! :D

    20. I'm sorry, there is no horse that I know of currently available that will fit an EID. My Twinn horses work for 60cm dolls, but look a little odd with 63-65cm dolls, and are hardly even ponies for 70cm EID boys. Even the Nahar sculpt by Shulamite does not really work very well with the EID guys.
