1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

House names for your BJD

Jan 5, 2007

    1. I just call them my crew, lol. I do need to come up with one though. ^^

    2. I only have one doll [head, but body is on the way!], but I have a rather large wishlist. Some of the dolls on it will be characters from a story I'm writing and that group will definitely go by "The Unheard-of", which is the title of the story. ^^

      I will probably come up with group names for others, but I haven't decided on anything in particular yet. XD

    3. hehe, i go with "silly fish studios" as their official name.
      mostly cuz they all live in my studio (that's all my room is pretty much...an art studio with a bed...)
      but honestly whenever i refer to them outloud to a person its always "moyi kookli" (rushglish for "my dolls" XP)

    4. I call them the No.Style crew xD Although to my grandma, I call them just as 'the crew' or 'the dolls' >> Sometime even 'my boys/babies'.
      It's hard to translate from chinese ^__^;
      But what's really cute is that my mom and grandma pooled over one day and made up chinese names for all the guys xD So I just refer to each one whenever I need to =P

    5. Bad Habits -- Because all of my bjd's are connected in some way. Some don't know it, others do and still others, like Wu, doesn't care about these red strings of fate tying them all together. Between them all they've made some incredibly stupid - knows that it was stupid but there was nothing they could really do to change it - choices and so the name stuck.

      I also use Mythmaker. It is the publishing house that Mr. Crane owns and publishes Wu's illustrated children's/young adult's stories. All of my characters that, are to be inhabiting resin bodies, are connected to this publishing house in some way. I use this name when they're not all being nihilistic bastards.

    6. Simple, its CherryStreet, that's what it has always been since the title comes from my first two doll's titles. I'll probably explain it better on my website sometime.

      Sera~

    7. i have none of that...
      my dolls are from various locations!

    8. While I mostly refer to them as "the gang" or "the kids", The Lodge is a general term for all my dolls. It's based on a fantasy mansion that they dwell in & has a number of wings for various types of dolls. It's also a bit of a kinky place since the Cissys started it & they're a wild bunch. The name comes from part of my address.

    9. I've pretty much setteld to 'the pirate brigade'
      it'll be official when Jamie comes :D there will actually be a 'brigade'and not a...'individual' XD

    10. 'raging god complex'. I'm currently working on the LJ/Website. XD

    11. Same here, barely any of them actually 'live' together under the same roof in their story. 'House name' is pretty much just a fancy term for 'collection/story/website/theme/whathavenot name'. :daisy

    12. I do not have one, as my dolls do not belong to one, unified story and their characters instead are from several different worlds. They never interact.

      My roommates, on the other hand, have a very complex doll family of which most belong to the Gray family. We have very different doll interpretations, so it's interesting to see how we all interact with our dolls.

    13. The Dog Kings. It encompasses the name of the gang and the world they live in, which I shorten to the DK universe. All of the dolls that I get might not all actually be in the gang, but they'll all be in the same universe. Frankie, for instance, at only 14, is definitely NOT in the gang. XD

    14. Hmmm...

      Well my crew collectively belongs to Three of Spades which is the "code name" for my three main boys' (Ryuen, Yukiro, and Zach) operations group--the other dolls just kinda spin out from them. Ironically enough, my three main boys have no resin form anymore ^^;

      The crew in my entire household on the other hand belonging to pinkspider, Hayashi-chan (who doesn't post yet), and myself is Villa del Sol. When I move out of the house I'll have to come up with a new collective name and let my mom (Hayashi-chan) keep Villa del Sol ^_^

    15. Collectively, I call my boys The Panda Brigade, as Arioc was my first doll as is affectionately referred to as Panda. It doesn't really indicate a particular story line or cast of characters, it's just something that stuck. :3

    16. Collectively, we're The House That Jack Built.

      Jack and Beowulf were college roommates, and when they moved into an apartment post-graduation they hooked up with a third roommate, Thomas, to split the rent. I'm sure Beo thought up the name and tormented Jack with it until Jack gave in just to shut him up. :)

    17. Right now they're just "my babies" ♥ but eventually I want enough to call them "The Museum" ;)

    18. I seem to be calling mine "The Horde" lately. They actually look quite civilized, so I'm not entirely sure why ;)

    19. Mine are called "Fair children" in LJ and in their upcoming (cough, maybe one day) website. It has no super-special meaning, I just like it ^_^

    20. Usually I call them "The Troupe" or "The Gang" XD;;

      But as a more... artistic name, they go under "Bohemian Underworld"; which is a play on the Bohemian Rhapsody references in their names, and a little sort of not-story relating them to the Bohemians in WWRY; a group of misfits living under the City in the old tube stations and sewers, ie. the "Underworld" of London. :)

      I've been playing around with making a really pretentious website for them, but it's not quite pretentious enough for general release yet ;D
