How Big is Too Big?

Apr 8, 2008

    1. I like all sizes. I think anything bigger than 80cm would be really pushing it though! I'm 5'2" so a 60cm seems tall for me, lol. I desperately want to see an 80cm in real life though, so I can see how it would be to hold one.

    2. Anything over 100 cm becomes a mannequin for me and it is too big.

    3. Seeing as I'm less than 160cm tall, I don't think I'd be able to handle an 80cm doll. That's more than half my height! Where would I keep such a thing? @.@ I think even 70cm is pushing it for me, but 60cm and smaller is probably just about right. I love all sizes of dolls, so if, say, someone gifted me a 80cm doll, I would love it just as much...I just would feel awkward carrying it around with me, or doing much of anything with it, I think...

I think I'll like the 60cm and then the really really tiny (like, under 15cm) dolls the best. I kinda like both ends of the spectrum pretty equally.

    4. I got my 61cm boy awhile ago and he's my biggest to date. He's quite weighty. I would still potentially go bigger...but I'm not sure just how much bigger until I saw the doll in person, haha.

    5. I have pretty much the whole range of sizes but I like the msd size and the Bambicrony size the best.

    6. I love the feeling of a weighty 60cm doll. 45cm dolls are nice, but it just feels like they're barely there when I hold them.

    7. I have both a 60 cm girl and a 70cm boy an di like the way they really seem like little people rather then just a doll :) It's like a real person ever tried picking one up they look really light till you pick one up lol I love all sizes of dolls but prefer the 58 to 80 range .. but if there were bigger well proportioned dolls i would have one of them to lol

    8. I looove the big boys or rather taller ones. Also the taller or larger ones tend to be more mature and realistic looking so I love that aspect in my dolls. I did start with an msd since he was a spontaneous buy but vowed to myself that he would be the only one since I was more attractive to the 60cm ones at first. Ironically this msd is my favorite doll out of my family bunch. I soon fell way over heels when I heard that there were 70cm bjds. When i saw them I couldn't believe it and now they're like all I can look at. I still love 60cm boys depending on their mold, but I aim to save up for taller bodies for them all. Looks like its more of a height thing for me lol.

Oh man an 80cm!!! I'd love to see Luts come out with one or Dollshe.

    9. I started with my 70cm tall D.O.D-D.O.I Luke ver NO.1. And I would really wan't a 80cm Mecha Angel guy someday. But if someone ever made a 90cm huge doll, that I think would have been a bit to big for me! I like all dolls from tiny dolls to mini dolls to large dolls. But 90 cm?? Depends on what I think about a Mecha Angel if I one day buy 1! But sure, If someone ever made a 90cm doll I would be curious and maybe consider buying 1.!

    10. Right now most sd dolls seem way to big for me ^^;; I guess I'm really too attached to msd's. I mean I want something bigger then a barbie but smaller then a ventriloquists dummy ^^;;;

    11. I'm just over 150cms tall, so 70+cms seems too much for me! My tallest doll will be 55cms, which is big enough. I am curious about those Mecha Angel beasts, but curiosity alone isn't enough to make me get one!

    12. I'm around 163cms, not tall, but not incredibly short :XD: I love SDs! 60-65cms seems perfect to me. Even though I think the 70cm DOIs might be a bit awkward (carrying them and all), I still think I'm going to get one.
I draw the line at 80cms :| Mecha Angels are almost half my height, so that is a no-no. I'd feel too much like it was one of those "life-sized" Barbies ^^; Being that big would make the doll lose its cute...dollishness, for me anyway :(

    13. For me anything over 60cm is too big. I love hound so much but hes just so big to me, I've seen him irl and hes huge to me I couldn't handle him.

I'm only 5ft 4" though so I'm not that tall anyway XD

    14. Anything that is as almost as big as me would freak me out. I don't think I could sleep with a giant doll in the next room. knowing me if I got up in the middle of the night and saw it I'd scream! But I'm easily spooked :o

    15. I think 70cm is my limit as well.

    16. I'm really tall (5' 11", about 180cm) so I could handle a really big doll if I really wanted to. XD.
But I think that 60-70cm dolls are enough for me. I was scared of getting one even that big, when I first saw them in person, but it all worked out for the best.

    17. I think anything over SD13 size might be too big. I might tolerate something just a bit bigger...63-65 cm, but I think 70 cm is definitely much too big for me. And forget about the Soom Mecha Angels. Which is a shame, cause I do love Saiph's head mold. But she's just too damn big.

    18. I have an Ark, and he is as big as I want to go... Anything bigger just wouldn't go well with my current doll family. He is okay, because he is kind of the patriarch of the clan and looks down on everyone else. Besides, he is so heavy - I don't like carrying him around too much because my arm feels like it is going to fall off!

    19. For me, the limit is 70cm xD Because I've a model doll from dollmore, and is too difficult for me manipulate him.
And I think I'll have more models no longer than 70cm, for me are much easier to handle those a SD than 70cm. ^^U
