How Did You Decide Size?

Apr 9, 2007

    1. when I first saw BJDs I fell in love with the bigger ones. Why? well, they're big and gorgeous! OO come on, they're so FANTASTIC *¬*

But time passed and I realized I can't resist the smaller ones ;_; they're SO cute!
I still want big dolls, ya know XP
But I'm really happy with my MSD girl, my 33cm little girl and my yosd on layway (yes, I do think about him quite a lot, can't wait to have him home TT)

I did bougth a SD boy head and I DO want him on a body and stuff...but I don't know if the next thing I'll buy will be his body or another msn/tiny doll T_T''

    2. No ifs, ands or buts, I've only ever really wanted the big dolls.
I do have one mini now who I really adore but I feel like he's the only little guy for me. :aheartbea

    3. I swore off SD size from the beginning.
There were sculpts that I absolutely adore and there are so many nice clothes and wigs for SD size but when it comes down to it, they were out of my budget and I simply do not know where I'd put them. Even with just minis and tinies I find my tinies gets a lot more photos in than my minis.. it just come with able to take them without too much fuss.
It kinda sucks because there are so many large dolls I like.. but it's kinda good too because I long for a lot of large dolls but I have a good excuse not to buy them. :>

    4. Well for me, I always felt that BJD's heads felt a little too small for their bodies, and MSD's were a tiny bit better about that. Also, I'm not used to a doll that is SD sized, it sort of frightens me how large they are. MSDs are already pretty big for dolls, but SDs just seem huge!

    5. I've only been into the doll world for about two or three years now, and still doll-less... BUT from the beginning i've LOVED the bigger dolls. I'm always afraid if i get a smaller one my chihuahua will get ahold of something from it and choke lol ((eek that wasn't funny..)) but the bigger dolls are just more appealing to me :)

    6. littles are so cute :)

    7. I prefer SD sized dolls because their size is perfect for people like me who loves hugging them.

    8. When I first got into BJDs I was pretty sure I was going to be sticking with mini size.

Then I went on vacation to visit a friend and spent a lot of time with an IM Hound in my lap.

      ...I haven't bought a mini since. ;)

    9. First bjd I saw was a 60cm boy, so I guess I just wanted boys of that size [and now up] as it's what first drew me into the hobby. I do have one 30cm but I think he'll be my only one that size.

    10. my friend and i decided together that we'd get 60cm SD dlls when i got mine becuase if you have a friend tht is willing to swap accesories with you, you save heaps of money!

    11. I wanted to get a 60 cm first. I thought it was a good starting size, to get a real sense of how delicate the dolls are, but I sometimes think that perhaps maybe I've should've gone for a smaller size. But, maybe they're just too fragile for first-timers. Well, I'm very happy that I got a 60 cm doll.

    12. For me it is tinies and SD sizes. I had a MSD and it just never spoke to me. I am attracted to just the big ones and tinies ones.

I love to hug them and that size is good for me. Carrying them isn't so bad either, I grab my carrier that has wheels and go!

    13. For my first doll, SD dolls were way to expensive and didn't know if I could handle a bigger doll, and 27cm dolls seem to small, so I went with MSD and prefer them so far *has 3*

Always wanted at least one SD eventually though 00

    14. When I first started looking at dolls, I figured out pretty quickly that I only wanted larger dolls. I don't know why, but I was never really interested in getting a doll under 60cm. I ended up buying a 70cm doll and am now just waiting for him to arrived.:)

    15. I'm really glad that I bought an MSD. He's a pain in the tukus to make clothes for or anything else but as a college student I think its better to have a smaller doll, I can hold him while I work without him getting in the way, as well as its easier to pack him away for my yearly move, and its a lot easier to sneak him around when I want to take him to a movie night with friends where I want him there for my sake rather than to draw attention.
I'm in love with small things, I adore little adorned boxes and trinkets so proportionally he fits in with most everything else I own.

    16. I started with an MSD because i was afraid a bigger size would be too big. The price was also a plus, when i was unsure if the hobby would stick. Now that i own two MSDs (with a third on the way) and i have had more exposure to SDs i'm saving up for one =]

    17. Everybody still needs a tiny of *some* sort, so you can easily stick it in your bag and take it to work if you feel like it as a cube toy...teeny anthros, elves, pukis are good for this!

    18. I'm keen to eventually have a doll family of all sizes, but the MSD size has the advantage of being more reasonably priced if you're new to the hobby and worried about making a big investment from the outset.

Of course this argument doesn't quite work if, like me, you fall in love with two MSD boys and buy them both at once, lmao!

    19. I let my feeling goes. I prefer mature faces to children faces, but I feel SD is too heavy for me. So I decide to have MSD.

I used to think that I may love YO-SD size or smaller, but when I saw I feel they are too small and not easy to play more details with their dresses or anything else.

    20. I still don't know which size I prefer.
I want a tiny or puki so I can take them with me to school and they are just darn cute.
I love MSD, my first doll was a MNF, I still like that size, it's about perfect.
But I love the SD dolls because they are so hugable and there are so many molds I love.

x'D So I guess I like all sizes.
