1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I try to handle my doll by handling in areas that are covered with cloth. I avoid like mad ever touching her face unless I have to. Though now that I have that sponge thing from Volks, I don't mind handling with my bare hands as much anymore. :)

    2. I'm guilty and don't do anything!

I do make sure I have no food bits on my hands though!

My little Luna really has caused me to wash my hands more often. xD

    3. No, I don't use any gloves. I just wash my hands before handling the boys.

    4. I wouldn't usually,if I had one -_-.I will get one!!!
I would to protect the face-up,and for other people to touch them.

    5. At my best, I use these white gloves that I bought from a tuxedo shop. They're not expensive, but they are clean and washed regularly. I know that the pH of my perspiration is more on the acidic side, so I try to avoid wearing out my dolls.

It's not mandatory, but I try to do my best in some ways.

    6. Nope l don't use them but l make sure my hands are clean when playing or dressing them.

    7. No. I think use gloves is a bit too much. Just washing hands often is enough, though I am a little crazy about this.

    8. Some times I use gloves to play with my MSD.
Not all the time though. I just hate the idea of my hands producing sweat on her.

With my SD, my hands don't really sweat as much. So I've never put gloves on to play with him.

    9. Nope! I don't touch their faces and wherever possible I hold them round the middle so their t-shirt forms a nice protective layer between my hand and their resin, but it's not so crucial for me. I make sure that my hands are clean and I haven't got food or grease nearby, but for the most part I just pick them up and play.

I think gloves are a bit much, my boyfriend would really think I was a nutter if I wore gloves to touch my dolls.

    10. I always wash my hands before play or took my doll. I wash more if i was eating something before.

And when i go to took her head, i don't touch her face.

    11. Oh please. I play with them, and just use common sense. I never damaged any, but sometimes they fall and sometimes they get dirty. What's the purpose of owning a doll if you dont get to play with it?

    12. Reading some of these replies and how there are quite a few of you who wash their hands regularly before playing with dolls makes me feel guilty because I rarely wash my hands before playing with Dieter *_*

I mean, obviously if I'd just had lunch or I've been touching something oily or have some dirt on my hands I would wash my hands before touching him, but if I'm just sitting around (like right now), typing on the comp, surfing the web and stuff, I wouldn't get up and wash my hands before touching my boy.

I never wear gloves before touching my boy, though I'd probably wear them if I was doing a face up or something. I do try to avoid touching Dieter's face, but I'm not too paranoid about doing it. I don't rub his face with my fingers or anything, but at the same time I'm not too bothered with accidentally touching his face, you know? :sweat

    13. Hey, don't feel bad. I'm just like you, I'll only go out of my way to clean my hands if I've been eating or doing something messy. I'd wash my hands if I'd been painting, but if I just want to pick up my dolls and all I've been doing is wandering around, I'll go and pick them up!

    14. Do you use protection when playing?

That could be taken in so many ways...

    15. Lol, the poll question startled me at first. I don't ever wear gloves, but I do try to wash my hands before handling my dolls. Once in a while I'm bad though and I don't even do that.

    16. I just wash my hands. : D I wash my boy quite regularly anyway. And of course I don't touch his face or anything.

But I'm not overly paranoid, or anything.

    17. I don't use gloves, wash my hands when their dirty. :)

    18. Um, seems kind of silly to me to wear gloves when handling my dolls. I can easily clean them with a magic sponge.

    19. I make sure my hands are clean ... doll or no doll (haha, there's a TV show that needs to be made! *headdesk*), I hate not having clean hands.
I too try and pick her up mainly by her waist with my hands around her clothes, rather than her resin, and pose her head by grabbing the whole head with main pressure at her temples, so I don't touch her face-up more than I have to ^_^

    20. Gloves? I only use them while I'm doing their face-ups...I hardly keep my hands out of paints and I'd hate to see fingerprints on their freshly finished face-ups, that's the reason... :P
