1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. No, I don't use gloves, but I do avoid touching the face up directly.

    2. I don't use gloves, but I always wash my hands before handleing my doll.

    3. I don't use gloves either but I rarely touch his face ^^

    4. lol protection. Play safe, eh? xDDDD

Narr, I don't even wash my hands so often. I don't sweat much. And my dolls are always on my bed, I do my work on my bed. I grab them whenever I please.
If I was eating biscuits or something like that before hand, I'll just wipe my hands off on my jeans. The ony times I wash my hands is like, before and after dinner and stuff like that hahaha

eew. I'm such a messy person now that I think about it x3x

    5. When I'm doing customization work - be it faceups, tattoos, or body blushing - I usually have a white glove on the hand holding the doll so the oils from my hands don't mess anything up. Whenever a doll is body blushed/tattooed I tend to don the white gloves more often. Though several of my dolls I just "play" with and don't bother.

    6. :ablink: I've never heard about this. To clean your hands is tooooooo easy ;)

    7. :3 welp. like they always say. keep your hands washed. ^_^ I make sure not to do things like eat cheetohs and touch them. XD but i never used gloves... or thought about it.

    8. I don't like gloves. I don't wear them when touching my girl, I just avoid touching her face-up. Everything else, a gentle cloth or magic eraser treatment will clean off.

    9. I never use gloves unless doing a face-up. I never touch the face when playing so there's no need.

    10. I use latex gloves when spraying dolls. There are times when working on dolls that I would like to wear white cotton gloves. I haven't been able to find any. Any suggestions?

    11. Never use glove.
But I will wash my hand before touching them.
Well...I don't really "Play" with them much..
My girl aways sitting on their sofa..I just keep looking at them ^^"
The only time that I touch them is changing clothes for them...HEEHEE

    12. no gloves :)
But I do make sure my hands are as clean as possible before handling my boy :D

    13. I..can't use gloves. I have to feel what I'm doing, I guess, and part of enjoying dolls for me is texture-based. I like feeling the texture of resin, how the cloth feels, and how the hair feels when adjusting their wigs. Wearing gloves would kind of sterilize that for me, I think.

    14. I try to keep my hands clean, washed, devoid of too many oils and all that, but I've never felt a need for gloves. For me, I need to have the contact in order to really have control over what I'm holding especially if I'm doing something like a faceup.

    15. Gloves are a bit of a hassle, even for me! hehe. I try to avoid touching Faust directly lol.
I'll use gloves though if I ever do a faceup

    16. I don't use gloves, though sometimes I consider it. Usually I just make sure my hands are clean.

    17. I make sure my hands are clean, especially when there will be a lot of handling, but no gloves (except when I'm doing a faceup). I'd never touch my doll if I had to wear gloves, I'm too lazy to put them on

    18. Baha, no.

      :3

You'd be astonished at how rough I am with my girls..

    19. I just use gloves when I have to change the eyes. I always get so warmed up that I just need them :sweat For everything else I don't use some.

      Laoky

    20. I use gloves and I'm not ashamed to admit it! :)
I really only use them when I'm doing photo shoots that require a lot of posing, especially in the head\eye region. I've noticed that a lot of people in this thread scoff at the idea, suggesting that hand-washing is the easy way to go, and I agree this is a great idea, but I want to point out something I've noticed.
My dolls that are sprayed with Testors get gummy\dirty FAST. Whether I wash my hands or not. I don't know if it's the oils in my hands gumming up the outer layer of sealant or what, but I've gone from having to wash my boy once a week, to once a month because of gloves.

My MSC sprayed doll? Doesn't happen like the Testors sprayed one. Must be a formula thing. :huh?:
