1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I think the glove thing is a tad... too much. Unless it's someone else's property and they do it - or it has the potential to hurt me, poison me, or whatever - I don't use gloves for anything, no matter how expensive.

Of course, I advocate having wet wipes (if not near a sink), or washing your hands if you know that something has gotten onto your hands, that can mark or ruin something on the doll.

    2. No I don't wear gloves when playing with my dolls. I am paranoid.. (I wash my hands nearly all the time,) but not that much. I always wash my hands at least before handling them. To me wearing gloves is a bit overkill but to each their own, as long as your hands are clean it's fine.

    3. I don't use gloves either when I handle my dolls. Like many others, I also wash my hands before I take them out, make sure they don't have contact with anything that could stain them, etc. etc. but wearing gloves all the time would seem like a little too much to me.

    4. No gloves in my case either. I rather using my completely clean bare hands. I always try to handle them with the most care I can and for me the best way to do so is with full sense of touch.

    5. No way xD I like the resin texture so much <3 maybe I wash my hands if they're dirty before touch them, but that's all.

    6. I have never worn the gloves when I play with my dolls.
I love to touch them with my bare hands but I always make sure that my hands are clean.

    7. I've never used gloves handling my dolls, besides when spraying MSC. It never even occurred to me that people might do this. I make sure my hands are clean when handling them, but that's about the only precautions I take.

    8. Never, I think of him as Precious, but like a baby is.. I wouldn't hold my niece with gloves.

    9. Never ever! The only protection I take is I change their clothes on my bed to prevent falls. I myself hate to be touched with gloves on (way too many years in the hospital traumatized me) and it's just something my babies picked up themselves. I never touch their faces though as I am paranoid their faceup will rub off.

    10. I dont use gloves but I do wash my hands before I touch my dolls. I also try not to touch their faces unless I am adjusting their heads and such. I have unique one of a kind face ups on most my dolls, not only were they expensive to have painted but difficult to have repainted. No every face up artist paints forever or can they always replicate the same face up. I love all my girls so I take a lot of care with handling them and their stuff.

    11. I tried using glove before but it was annoying and just made things more difficult. Beside I washed my hand before moving and touching my dolls. Beside if any dirt get on it from my hand, I think plain water will wash it off.

    12. I always handle her with my bare hands, but I often wash them before I start playing with her. :)

    13. I never use glove they are just too annoying to me. I am allergic to laytic and the powerd in rubber gloves anyway and the cloth gloves are just strange on my hand. I think its a bit much and a little silly but that just my own thinking. I do wash my hand or at least wipe them off before I play with mine or other peoples dolls.

    14. ohoho..I thought "yes" would have the highest votes..i don't use gloves when changing their dress..I'm not comfortable wearing them..but I do wash my hands first before anything else..:D

    15. When my boy`ll arrive home I don`t think I`ll wear gloves - as a kinestatic person I need to touch everything with my hands:kitty2, and if I`ll wear gloves my sence of reality will be probably a little off.

    16. This may make me a terrible person, but the poll question seemed a little...err...suggestive to me xD

Personally, no. A of all, I don't really own any cotton gloves, and B of all...I dunno, it just seems a bit excessive? I mean, I've gotten nail polish and the like on my luvvies many a time. Ain't nothin' a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser can't take care of! Well, assuming we mean resin! I'd rather not get polish on my vinyls...D:

    17. I wash my hands before I play with my dolls, but I just can't bear to wear gloves. I also love the feel of resin on my bare hands :) But I keep my nails short and don't wear nail polish on my hands for that reason. I try as hard as I can to avoid touching their faces so I don't ruin their face-ups

    18. Well, no, I simply like the touch of resin too much. There are other precautions though that I take: wash my hands before handling them, and whenever I do anything with them like changing clothes or re-stringing, I put them onto the foam mat that comes with Iplehouse dolls. This is my "operation mat" and is very handy.

    19. No .. no gloves. Clean hands and avoid touching the face-up as much as possible. I also dress/undress them over a mattress or couch ... I'm more afraid of dropping them than getting them dirty.

    20. Nope, and I cant say I really wash my hands before handling them either. Sure, sometimes I do but to be completely honest I just pick them up from the shelf whenever I want. I rarely think about washing my hands unless theyre obviously dirty.

I'ts just common sense to me to not touch anything if you have dirty hands so I never worry too much about it. I trust myself that I keep my hands clean x)
