1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I don't wear gloves when handling my doll. I just make sure my hands are washed and clean. I could only see myself wearing gloves when taking the doll apart and putting it back together, out of fear of damaging it with my nails xD. Resin will be fine I think, but most of my other dolls will be vinyl. This might just be the first few times though. I think you just need to find out how rough you can be with them which is all a matter of experience :).

    2. I just wash my hands first

    3. I do when I'm restringing or putting on a difficult outfit. I wear nail polish a lot and don't want to scratch them and get it on them. Otherwise I don't worry about it. I do always always ALWAYS wash my hands before touching them though, because I'm paranoid about getting them dirty.

    4. I wash my hands before handling them but the only time I wear gloves is when I'm cleaning them, I wouldn't want to add dirt instead of removing it! :P

    5. My hands are generally pretty clean anyway, so I do it without gloves at all.

I won't touch them even if I feel a little grotty.

    6. I'd LIKE to remember to put on gloves, but that rarely happens!!!

    7. I only wear gloves if I'm handling my doll's head or doing touch ups to his face. I never wear them otherwise. I do wash my hands before handling him however.

    8. The only time I wear gloves is if I'm planning on handling my Dollfie Dream for any extended period of time. They're vinyl dolls and they stain ABSURDLY EASILY, even if your hands are clean @___@ Otherwise, though, I just give my hands a quick wash first and it's fine, particularly with my resin dolls.

    9. I'm a big clumsy, so gloves make it hard for me to hold the bigger dolls. Otherwise, I just wash my hands very well, or just avoid touching the resin parts and hold them over their clothing. xP

    10. It depends. I don't usually like gloves and most of the time my hands are dry so I'll just handle them with bare hands. But sometimes they get clammy for no apparent reason so I put on some white cotton gloves. I do have images of acidic body grease eating into the resin so that'll spur me.

    11. I don't use glove when handling my doll because I clean them enough to not attract the dirt. but I go the extra mile and wash my hands before I handle them.

Other people can handle my dollies (unless they have dirty hands, then I would ask them to wash their hands

    12. I never wear gloves, but I handle my dolls very carefully. I never touch their face-ups if I can avoid it, and most of them aren't yet body-blushed which makes cleaning them super easy. Plus, I'm very confident about patching up blushing, so even when my dolls are fully blushed I doubt I'll use gloves to handle them.

    13. the only reason I'd use gloves is to protect me (I can't do face ups so I wouldn't 'need' to in that case). I am allergic to some fabrics so I will need to get some cotton gloves when a couple of 'wool' suits arrive.... And I can get eczema that makes me use cremes I might not want to risk getting on dolls but really.... I love the feel of the resin ^^ especially nicely finished ones all nice and smooth ^^

if you have a boo-boo that might split or bleed on a finger (my eczema ><) you can use 'finger cots' basically a single finger rubber glove.... they look like mini condoms LOL...

    14. No, I don't wear gloves. I think they would be a pain to put on every time I wanted to play with my dolls.

    15. No gloves. I always wash my hands before I touch them (I do the same before playing with my off-topic dolls), but I honestly don't think even that's really necessary for bjds. Any minor dirt that might be on my hands can cleaned with a magic sponge, and their clothes can be washed.

    16. Mmmm....
I wash my hands before touching the dolls ...
Although sometimes wonder about buying gloves =)

    17. I never wear gloves, but I do wash my hands before handling them :)

    18. I wash my hands, make sure they are clean, that's it

    19. I always wash my hands before touching my dolls but if I were to touch them for an extended period then I would definitely wear gloves.

    20. Like most here, I wash my hands before playing, that's it.
