1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I wash my hands, that's about it. ^^; At first when I got into Bjd's I was very careful about everything, now I am less cautious, lol. I know accidents will happen, dirt will get on them, something whatever it is will get on the dolls anyway no matter how hard you try to avoid it. Its going to happen. The good news is, you can clean your dolls. XD

    2. I'd never wear gloves. I don't feel that it's at all necessary, plus it's a definite hassle.

    3. I wash my hands first and use my magic eraser when its needed. Resin is pretty easy to clean.
The doll might slip if I was holding it with gloves, also most gloves feel awful, if I had to wear gloves all the time I might rethink this hobby.

    4. I don't use gloves when handling dolls too. But I wash my hands of course.

    5. -gets mind out of gutter after viewing poll question-
      Ahem ok now.
I usaully wash my hands before playing with my dolls. You dont need gloves as long as your hands arent dirty, or like sweaty.
And even after that[every once in a while] I make sure to wash them [using a damp facecloth] seeing as it will get off some of the dirt or oils that they may have picked up.

    6. I don't wear gloves! They make me itch!

    7. I only use gloves when I'm doing faceups on my boys. Other than that I just use my bare hands.

    8. I just wash my hands, I wouldn't like playing with my doll if I had to wear gloves

    9. I'm OCD about my hands, so I always have a bottle of waterless hand sanitizer/cleanser that I use before I handle my dolls. If I am re-stringing or doing any other task in which I have to handle the doll for longer than usual, I'll go to the sink and scrub my hands really well.

I also have very thin, shaky hands; so if I wore gloves, it would just make it harder for me to dress and handle my dolls. If I ask a family member to help me re-string or dress a doll (espically with tiny buttons!), then I ask them to wash their hands really well at the sink before handling.

    10. I wash my hands with soap before touching bare resin - I has the sticky fingers!

    11. I don't use gloves. I wash my hands before handling the doll. When I first
got him, I used bubble wrap to lift his head from time to time until it was put
      on the body.

    12. If I were to paint my doll, I would use gloves.. when I work really hard and concentrated.. I tend to oversweat in my fingers, or some odd reason. And I wouldn't want any oils to get on it. o_o

But other than that, I wash my hands wayyyy to often, abnormally even.. so, I think I'm good on that.

    13. I don't wear gloves or anything. I usually wash my hands before handling my doll, though. Depends on what I was doing.

Haha, yeah, I laughed at the poll wording, too. It is just hilarious.

    14. I've never worn gloves when I handle my dolls. I do try to be very careful though. I always make sure my hands are clean, and I try not to mess with them when food is around. I've never really had a problem. Magic erasers are a must though, and the dolls get a good cleaning about once a month.

    15. I imagined kind of procedure as doctors do - wash hands with special soap, gloves, and some freaky music playing. "Give me the doll!"
I just wash my hands, dolls are not aliens and I don't have any acid in my skin - so I think washed hands is enough.

    16. Again with the washed hands here~ :cake: I think it might be kind of weird otherwise... like he was a museum piece or something. :sweat

    17. Um, no, I guess it'd be better for the resin not to get exposed to my skin oils but it feel wierd to wear gloves when I'm with the dolls. But I do make sure that my hands are clean before I touch them and I avoid touching their faces so that I don't accidently scratch the faceup.

    18. I don't have Gloves at all ....
The weather here are too hot to have gloves.

    19. No but I admire those who do. My dolls are for play not for resale value. That said I keep them very nicely, and don't abuse them. And a clean up every once in a while doesn't kill anybody. I also have certain ones (not the big ones) that I let my daughters handle. They are very respectful. I take them to meetups too (live kids). They don't maul dolls. Just their Barbies, and that's OK ;)

    20. No, never.

You'd totally miss the unique feel of resin =D!
Of course I make sure my hands are clean and stuff but gloves? Noooo x3!
