1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. Who has the time or patience to pull on a pair of gloves EVERY time they wanna touch their dollies?!
      -_-
I always wash my hands before handling him though.
My teacher once showed me what my hands would look like if you could see bacteria, germs and dirtand it just scared the shit outta me! XD

    2. I don't think I'd want a doll that required gloves to handle... To my mind they're meant to be played with. So no, I don't wear gloves, I just wash my hands before getting them out if I've been eating or anything like that.

    3. Oh no, I don't wear gloves when touching my dolls... I am just careful to have clean hands when I handle them and I don't touch their faces. I like how the resin feels so I wouldn't be happy if I was to wear gloves all the time!

I will also let others touch everything on my dolls except the faces without gloves too.

    4. Never any gloves!!!
But I am Take mind When I handle so I don't scratch, or ruin there face up.......
      But thats it

    5. I don't use gloves, just wash my hands before playing or dressing her... although I must admit, the first time I took her out of the box, I was afraid of ruining the body blushing if I touched her too much. I also covered her shoulders and upper body with tissues the one time I had to remove her head and put it back, to avoid touching her body and ruining the blushing, but gloves are too uncomfortable and I'm already clumsy enough without them v_v

    6. no glove no love hihi j/k xD

I always wash my hand it's the first thing i do when I enter my house so my hands are always clean, and i dont touch their faces but they still get dirty O-o

    7. I have to agree with no gloves for regular handling, just clean hands with careful avoidance of his faceup -- but when I get around to restringing my boy (likely quite a while from now -- he arrived from CH strung insanely tight), I'll likely wear gloves then. I have sensitve skin, so the elastic abrades my palms when I pull on it, not to mention I'd like to avoid putting a bare hand on his faceup by accident. ;)

    8. I don't wear gloves XD I do wash my hands and I try not to touch her faceup when dressing or posing.

    9. I don't wear gloves either--I just want to have fun and play! The only other person who handles my bjds is my daughter-in-law. I let her do whatever she wants with them. She enjoys changing their clothes and just playing with them. (I'd rather have a doll get a "boo boo" than ask her to wear gloves or wash her hands.) Hugs, Rosemary

    10. No, I don't use gloves of any kind while touching my dolls.. I DO wash my hands every time before touching them thought.. ^^

    11. no gloves, seems a little too extream for me. lol.

    12. If stopped to put on gloves every time I played with my dolls, I'd never be taking them off! I do try to make sure my hands are clean but for the most part, I'm glove free. ;)

    13. i only check that my hands are clean. because gloves would make playing with them uncomfortable

    14. Here's another saying "no gloves!" I just make sure my hands are clean before handling them, especially their faces but I never bother putting on gloves. I would think that would be such a big pain to have to do before handling them. Life moves fast...these dolls need to be enjoyed and played with.

    15. No, I never use gloves. I check if my hands are clean, and if my dolls get a bit dirty by exident, I just clean them.

    16. I lol'ed at the wording of the question.

I always keep my hands clean, so I never have to use gloves when I'm handling my dolls. Besides, I don't even like wearing gloves, so it'd be too much a bother.

    17. Definitely no gloves for myself, but I make sure my hands are clean.

I have, however, seen the Volks sales reps and a doll customizer at a local Renfaire wearing gloves while handling their dolls?

    18. I didn't have the patience to read all the entries but I have a feeling, based on the overwhelming response on the poll, that most people are the same..

You handle them with clean hands but generally don't worry the gloves/protection part.

I treat my dolls with care but I probably handle them a lot more roughly than someone else would. On the other hand, If I am handling someone else's doll, I use the utmost care and handle them even more carefully than my own and try, try, try not to touch the face/tattoos/markings etc.. I have touched heads to move them for photos and the like but I know there are people who are fanatical about other people touching their dolls (faces) so I try to manhandle the face as little as possible (basically, if it can be avoided, I avoid it).

    19. glove? no, that like handleing some inhuman creature that's dangerous....

    20. No, I don't use gloves... does somebody do that? O.o
It waists too much time to put them on.
