1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you carry your dolls?

Jan 26, 2006

    1. I hold mine like a baby most of the time, sometimes I'll hold them like a teddy bear

    2. Sometimes I carry Cesavier like a baby, or I also tend to balance him on my hip if we're just meandering around. I tend to be more careful when I hold Seraphine because her stringing is tighter and I'm wary of her falling and getting broken. I'm still very careful with Ces too though, I just know that he won't spring off anywhere because he's floppy as anything.

    3. My dolls are MSD, so the main way I carry them around is one at a time, with whichever doll sitting in the palm of my hand with my thumb over her thighs. And then I have that hand against my torso for back support. It may look weird, but it seems like it would be comfortable for them.

    4. My wife's in a wheelchair...she carries her dolls on her lap. :3

    5. I Typically save their boxes for travel. When I have to take all of them somewhere (Like they stayed 10 days at my Mom's house when I got married) I lay blankets down in a storage tub and layer them into the blankets.
If I'm simply taking one with me somewhere, I either carry them, or buckle them into my car. (Yes, I'm that kind of crazy)

    6. I usually carry mine in the crook of my arms, except for my girl raven. She usually gets to ride on my shoulder and i hold her boot x3
I used to be very paranoid about carrying her this way, but she has a very good balance point, unlike my other dolls.
so she either doesn't fall, or i can tell long before when she might topple and bring her down.

    7. Both. because there are differentiated situations.

    8. in my worst case of carrying, i lift them up by their hands..normally I carry them in my bike's basket, tug under my arms, hold them by hips

    9. I prefer the crook of my arm so I can keep fingers wrapped around a leg at least. That way if I am jostled or trip, my doll doesn't go flying.

    10. I'm thinking about going anf getting a basket to carry a couple. Otherwise, it's in my arms.

    11. Depends on the doll's size really
I carry my big dolls in the bend of my arm like mentioned.
I carry my minis like a baby.
I keep my tinies in my pocket or grip them around the waist like one would hold a Barbie.

    12. I carry my SD in the crook of my arm and my MSDs I usually grab around the waist, when I pick them up I usually grab them by the neck

    13. Probably both ways depending on the situation. Most likely sitting though, so it doesn't muss up long hair or clothes.

    14. My girl is small enough that i carry her in my hand like this:

:) she's not heavy and it's actually nice to carry her like that

    15. I usually only bring out two at a time when I don't have a case with me. My mini sits in the crook of my arm, while one of my bigger boys is over the shoulder with me holding him around the waist.

    16. I normally carry him in the crook of my arm, or around his waist, depending on what I'm doing. He's a little smaller than an MSD so he's pretty light weight and carrying him isn't hard.

    17. I really like this idea :3
It's rather frustrating to hold them at a con or going shopping when you need your hands free to get money

    18. I have a pink hello kitty-bag like this (but mine have also a pocket in the front):

and I use it, when I want to take with me my MSD! <3 And the tiny doll in the front's pocket of the same bag!

    19. With my hands...I mean uh... I hold my dolls usually by the waist with my middle finger resting between their legs, because I'm very clumsy and don't want to drop them.

    20. Here, I took a picture of my dolls with the bag I use, right now! Sorry, I don't know why photobucket flip always my pics...
