1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you carry your dolls?

Jan 26, 2006

    1. Aahh, you guys are so careful about things! I practically just drag mine around XDD I don't really feel any need to hold him carefully because if A: he is sturdy and B: I have a firm grip on him, that's enough. Even if he looks like he's bending over to vomit because I don't take care in carrying my doll, I really don't think it's a big deal. I guess I'm the odd one out, and now I will be ostracized forever. :X

    2. Can anyone help me out about how is the most comfortable way to carry a doll, other than a case/purse?

I usually carry Kaiden kinda tucked to my side, but he gets heavy. (darn resin:sweat )

He's a MNF Dreaming Shiwoo Vampire Elf,so he's usually lightweight.

      But please help.

I want to be able to carry him with me sometimes, using a purse/case and just by himself others.

And what is the best kind of case for dollfies, thats cheap also?

I want to get a coffin case for him from Dollmore, but they seem high.....*_*

    3. Dollzones carry bag is reasonably cheap and good value for money.

You could maybe try one of those baby slings for when you are carrying him without a case. ;)

    4. Thanks Moggie.

      I'll check them out..

As far as a baby sling, sorry, but no way.
Mom thinks he's too much like my baby already.

    5. .. Messenger bag ^^;
That's how I carry Kahlua around

    6. Thankies Java-Wolf

Kaiden's normal transportation is a small small Harajaku Girls bag..

Half of him barely fits in there...

So yeah,I need a new bag.

    7. I converted a violin case for one of my SDs. ^_^

& to carry multiple, I've converted other types of bags to be able to carry anywhere from 1-3 MSD/SD-size dolls. I think one is an old laptop/overnight bag.

For my MSDs and smaller, I will, at times, use a tote to carry 1-2 of them :)

    8. Oh okay, I was considering a violin case for mine, but wasnt 100% sure...

    9. I made a tote bag for my boy. It's long enough for him to lay down inside of it. Plus, it will now become my carry-on for plane trips cause it fits everything and more xD

    10. Might buy a ukelele case or a coffin case, pad it with red crushed velvet and use that, but not for sure yet.

I love carrying him without a bag,its just that he gets sooo freaking heavy after about an hour.

    11. I thought violin cases

    12. Nnnt...I suggest a nice violin case//tote...it's MNF so they're not like WHOOSH. SD+ sizes ^^;; I have a Hound and actually I just carry him around in my arms...like...well almost 24/7.

You might find that if you carry him around with you more often you'll get more accustomed to his weight ^^ but i dont know how long you've had your boy so...

    13. cases from companies tend to be high, but you can alwasy convert like people are talking about. I usually carry my dolls at my side too but due to mnfs smallness i usually carry them sitting in my hand, but it starts to hurt the elbow after a while. I use a baseball equipment bag stuffed with pillows from my doll boxes for carrying my sd size dolls. (fits usually 2-3 sd, 2 sd & 2 msd, 4-5 msd and so on). cost me all of $10 at walmart. Though I still sometime would like a nicer carrier actually designed for carrying instead of make shifted.

    14. I usually carry Alexis at my side, nestled in the crook of my arm. I agree that she can get heavy after awhile though.

    15. When hand carrying, I just fuss around with them until I find a way that is comfortable. I just recently got a double carrier from Dollmore (and love it) but before that I used a yoga mat bag. They're not too tall, but really long, and light weight- so it's perfect for carrying dollies. I found one (looked like this, but on sale for $3) put some pillows in it, and it was perfect.

    16. My little ones (BB to Tiny) fit in my fanny pack (yes, I'm a dork who still has one). My MSDs fit in my messenger\laptop bag. My SD fits in my backpack. Most girls have various purses to match shoes. I have various 'packs' to match dollies. XD

    17. I usually carry around my boy like my cat >> he fits right into the crook of my arm :D but on long journeys (like to a meet up) He's the perfect size to sit in my mom's bag from work

    18. Thankies,I've had him for almost two weeks now ^o^

    19. me and my freinds are getting a wagon. by the end of the year between 6 of us we are going to have 16 dolls. to many for hands. plus we need a way to carry other things too. :)

    20. I know what you mean about your arm getting tired from just carrying an MSD-sized resin kid. I carried my BF Niky around Otakon on perched on my shoulder most of the time. I would just hold his legs with my hand. It wasn't too bad. And my arms didn't hurt as bad as carrying him in the crook of my arm. The only thing is that if your doll has a floppy waist joint, you might have to do some sort of sueding. I use the hot-glue sueding on my boy and he sits up great. ^_^
Since I have 5 dolls total right now (2 MSDs & 3 Tinies), I just got a small carry-on bag that is about 18" inside the bag and they fit perfectly in there.
