Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum. How do you decide on a doll´s birthday?

    1. Mine will be the day he gets his faceup. :D

      ...or should it be the day that I ordered him? I don't know why, but I'd rather not have it be the day that he arrives since he won't get a faceup until a day or two after that. Hmm...

    3. I chose the date of arrival when he reached my friend's house to be his birthday :sweat I picked him up 2 days later but, I like the number 4 (since 2 is my lucky number ^^;; 2 + 2 ..yeh xD )

    4. I went by the date of arrival for my first doll.
      Never considered the thing about floating heads though, good point. Hehee, I'll have to think about that, since I might be getting one soon ;)

    5. Hmm... it doesn't seem as though many people choose their doll's birthday to be the day they are ordered. I just ordered mine a few hours ago (about 7 or so) and for the time being I'm going with 5/2 as her birthday - it was already Friday morning in Korea when I ordered. I would have liked to have ordered her on my birthday a few days ago but it was impossible. I might decide to change her birthday when she actually gets here, but for now I'm happy with her being a Taurus just like me! :) Ha... I'm a zodiac nut.

    8. I chose a random date. Though I did take the character of the doll into account. If I thought the doll was a 'winter-character' I'd let him be 'born' in the winter and visa versa.

    9. My doll is based on an original character of mine... which, oddly though, does not have a birthday date marked down on his profile sheet. I should figure out what his birthday is before my doll arrives. I'll probably just look up star signs and pick one that suits him (then work out the date from there) XD

    10. I was going to pick a random day and then when Gwenllian arrived I thought it was fairer to use the day she arrived, so her birthday is the 16th of April :) It will be fun to have dolls with birthdays close together because Lleucu will arrive soon!

    12. The day they arrive for the first time. If it's just the body then i don't count it as they're birthday, but if it's just the head then i do. Head's seem to be where the personality lies. For full dolls, they're arrival day. It's nice because it's slightly unpredictable (almost had 2 dolls on the same day!)

    14. In general mine are the date they arrive. If they're a blank head it's the date they arrive with their faceup. Generally even my floating heads go by that principal.

      The only doll I have whose birthday is different from their arrival date is Jack and that's just because his name was Jack, he had black and orange hair... I figured what the hell, his birthday will be Halloween.

    18. Mine will be very close to my birthday. My first is going to be a male version of myself, so it's only fitting that we'll be close. Except I'm MUCH LESS AWESOME than he is. Go figure. xD

    19. You know what... I never even thought of that. How interesting!

      I think it will be when my doll comes back, and I finally attach the wig. She's getting blushed and a mani/pedi. When she comes back, and I get the wig stuck on her head she will be DONE (aside from clothing). I guess that'll be her birthday. I could always subscribe to the teddy bear birthday, when you tie a ribbon on them and give them a name than that's their birthday. Actually, I like that better, when they're finished and I've given them a name then I'll make that their birthday.

    20. My dolls don't have specific birthdays, but they all have star signs (even though I don't believe in them).

      I run their personalities through an online 'what's my star sign' quiz. SAD I KNOW:lol:
