Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. How do you decide on a doll´s birthday?

    1. I'm thinking the day that I unwrap my boy for the first time will be his birthday ^^ Hopefully that'll be soon so he'll be a winter boy XD
      I kind of like the idea of having each doll's birthday be arbitrary like that, so I'm probably going to leave it up to chance for now.

    3. I consider my doll's birthday the day they arrive :)

      This isnt the character's birthday, that's a whole different day (my kids are spoiled...having two birthdays and all).

      Speaking of birthdays, it's Thomas' first birthday today (he arrived christmas eve '07); Time just flies! :D

    4. I've posted before, but now I have a floating head I'm thinking about how to assign her a birthday! For now I have the date her head arrived on, but if I chose the day she was completed i.e. the day her body arrived, she would share her birthday with an event head and I can't deal with too many dolls having the same birthday!

      I would rather her have a birthday as a completed doll, rather than a floating head, so I'm thinking I could give her my birthday instead. My birthday will be in the middle of the arrival date of her head and the payment date of her body, so that would be a nice compromise...and then the event head would have a birthday of her own when her body arrives (probably in 2010!)

    8. for my doll I just chose my own birthday since I love, not only the obvious fact, but the sheer importance of it to me and surprisingly many other people. That and I felt she was simply just meant to be a Pisces.

    9. Kaedyn's is a little weird. He arrived sept 5th but his bday is Sept 7th - for 2 main reasons.

      1) I had to go on a trip (bad timing, ne?) so I didn't even get to bond with him/play with him much. I got home on the 7th and that's when I could enjoy my first dollie fully :3

      2) One of my good friend's bdays is on the 5th >.< It would be too...i dunno. :3

      Yi's birthday is the date his head arrived here, Salti's is the date she arrived here.
      'Minime' Kyo's, will be the same day's as the real Kyo's regardless of when he is sculpted shipped or the arrival date.

    13. I posted here before about my zodiac-chooses-birthday method. I tried the 'completed doll' way a few times but I see my dolls as ongoing works too often so it was too confusing. It's also pretty handy for deciding on doll character traits.

      If anyone is interested, the quiz I use is here.

      I tried a few different quizzes out using real people first and this was by far the most accurate. Kind of creepy for me as I don't really believe in all that stuff :lol: Honest, guv!

    16. I choose based on the zodiacs i like the most :) My aru girl arrived in 23rd august (Leo), but i doesn't considerate this to be her true birthday since i....kinda dislike Leos o-o so i considerate she's Cancer or Piscis (and therefore her birthday is or in July or February...)

      @Katie_Raven: I used this quizzie and it seems it's really accurate :XD: i made it four times (for two dolls of mine) and the results matched in 3 of 4 attempts~

    17. The day I feel like the character is complete will be the day I'll consider as their birthday. For the first month of having my first doll he's been in pieces, and I'm still waiting on all the bits and pieces that'll make him HIM.

I dont usually give them birthdays as such - although I sometimes call it their birthdays - I usually refer to the date of their arrival to my house via the post man as their Arrival Anniversary!! So its basically for me the day that their box comes to my house :D (if i remember LOL)

    20. My Sapphira came with a birth certificate and the date was of when he was made, so I kept that. My Sooah's birthday is the day she arrived, which is weird because the characters have their own different birthdays.
