1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you decide on a doll´s birthday?

May 23, 2006

    1. My doll doesn't really have a birthday at all:lol: I just decided that he's born sometime in november, because I think it somehow fits him... a cold, grey november evening, that's it XD

    2. Their birthdays are the day they arrived^^ Or in the case of floating heads who later got their bodies - it's the arrival date of the head. :)

And this is how my two dolls who are essentially the same character still have different birthdays

    3. I like sticking to the day it arrived. That day would always be special to me ;)

    4. Though I know the arrival date and the buying date are very important, I already know that my boys birthday will be when I think it best suits him.

      Take Mercutio....

I feel as if he is a bit of a trickster, so I want his birthday to be on Halloween. What better a date for a Kelpie's B-day? XD

    5. I've never thought about birthdays before, but I have yet to get my first doll (He's being sent), so I'll have to think about it... I think the date of arrival would be the most popular choice. However choosing it from the matching star sign for your dolls personality is a really good idea aswell.

    6. For me, the day they arrive my home.

    7. I usually stick with the day that the doll arrives at my home but sometimes forget the exact day so I occasionally make an educated guess. I do have one doll who just reminded me so much of a particular sign and I just made up the date for him.

    8. For me is the day on the COA...
because at least it's written, like a birth cetificate, and by that i won't forget their birthday : )

    9. Hehe, when they arrive is their birth date. <33 c: -conformist, lol-

    10. I've made a birthday for Celeste though she hasn't arrived yet based on an estimate. I was going to change it when she gets here but I quite like June 4th for some reason.

BUT it never occurred to me to give her a star sign! I think that would be a brilliant way to pick her birthday, or at least like a "christening date" of some sort ;D

      If I don't get a certificate on arrival, I'm making one. :P

    11. As special as date of arrival shall be, I already 'know' my upcoming first boy's birthday is in May, and he should arrive some time short of that. Which will be nice, since it means he'll have a face and all before his birthday...

      =^__^=

    12. With Didi, I chose the day he arrived. September 18th - which made him a Virgo. :o But, strangely, that seems to have worked out.

Since I have three on lay away right now, I'll have to see if I stick with that since they'll all probably come at once. Hm.

Also, I don't have any floating heads. But in that case I would probably choose the date that they were put together with body, eyes, wig, ect.

    13. the day he arrived home ^^

    14. a bit of everything for me.
Fayes birthday is April 3rd which was the day her first body arrived, even though at that time Faye's character wasent even an idea in my head(the doll was ment for someone else)
Irukandji's birthday is Feb 14, even though his body showed up on the 19th. i chose valentines day because at the time it was ironic for his character.

Toph and Max's B-days havent been decided yet even though i have had them for over a year. >.< im not sure how im gonna decide

    15. I never thought of giving dolls a birthday, but if I had to choose then I think picking by star signs or special occasions would be fun, because it adds to their personality, or else give them the same birthday as mine.

    16. As none of mine are human, I do got give them a specific irthdate. I do however keep a track by the day they arrived, but I do not consider that a date for them to age

    17. For me its the date he arrived :) but i dont know yet if I will really do something on his birthday :XD:

    18. it is the day the doll arrives at my place. and It was a coincidence that date fits my setting of Zodiac of it..

    19. Even if, during the shipping (?), the doll is already mine, the birthday is the day I can touch her/him... The day the doll is at my place ^^

    20. :3 Based on the zodiac sign~ <3
