Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. How do you decide on a doll´s birthday?

    1. I tend to just look at my doll and let a date pop into my head. I don't go off their arrival date because to me the character wasn't 'born' on that day, she pops into being having already 'existed' for some length that's determined by her back story.

    2. Since all of my dolls are/will be fashioned after characters I've already created, they'll have the character's birthday. C: Aaand since I'm a geek and have not only given my characters birthdays, but a full zodiacal charts ... it'll be no problem, haha.

    3. For Seijun it's halloween because that's just what came out when I was writing, and Sybal was to be born on his first birthday so they'd have the same birthday. For almost all of my other dolls it'll be the day they become.. not complete so to say, but.. I guess you could say perfect with wig, eyes, faceup, seuding, necklace (necklaces are a big deal to me because everyone has one that's charm tells exactly who they are. Kinda like the one thing that will always fit that character just so, no matter what), blushing and tattoo (red hour glass like the one's found on a black widow spider placed perfectly on the back of the neck). Except Zee, but he's a special character and a long story. I don't know how I'll do him.

      I refer to the day that the doll arrives as the anniversary. That way, it's still special, but in a different way. And really, the doll isn't 'born' on the day it arrives. Depending how you look at it, it's the characters birthday, or the day the doll was shipped, or even the day the resin itself, hardened into the pieces and put together to become your doll. Anniversary fits much better.

    4. Right now my dolls birthday is when she came to me, but it may later on change to fit her character better. Nut i just think once she comes to me shes a brand new doll and has a new personality.

    6. Date of arrival, unless for some odd reason I had a second doll arrive on the same day as a earlier one (since I only have one, I don't have that problem). If that were to hapen, I'd probably pick a random day that occured before the date of arrival, so they wouldn't overlap.

    9. I base all my dolls' birthdays on the day I do their box opening. :3

      It's kinda like how a human's birthdate is when they pop out. XD

    10. I do not know the dates any of my dolls were made :lol:
      As for the charcter's birthdays some of them come from other character's stories and their birth happens on a certain timeline. Sometimes I pick a date that fits their characters with the zodiac. I do not necessarily believe in the zodiac and personality correlation but I like using it to choose birthdays for characters.

    11. For me it's the date of arrival. I'm still undecided about the actual date for one of my females though. When she came home instead of a female body she had a male body. I kept the head, but had to send back the body and wait for a new one. She was my first, so I was heart broken when I opened it!

    13. Sade has 2 birthdays now...The day he arrived (March 31st) and the day his character was born (Oct. 5th) so....He gets twice the presents now! XD However, i would celebrate his arrival date as his birthday rather than his character's birthday. Dont ask im goofy XP

    14. Because my doll, I mean Naoki, is long planned character, his birthday is related to his horoscope.
      I'm not sure about the date yet, but he should be Pisces. But when I'm gonna decide other characters
      birhtdays, I think they are gonna be the same day, when I got them home 83

    16. Briar was ordered for Valentines day, so thats her birthday. Her sibling will be ordered for Christmas, so will be born Christmas Eve... So right now it's based on the reason they are ordered for.

    18. Their birthday is the date of arrival. A funny coincidence happened with my two MSD. My Petsha arrived the day my best girl friend was born (28th January) and my Seorin arrived the day one of my best boy friends was born!! (4th August). Coincidence? Destiny? Who knows, but I find it quite funny XD

    19. the day my doll arrived is his birthday. I could understand those that already have a planned out character for their doll, and maybe it was because of that, My Cid didn't already have his birthday. But, yea, I don't think my doll is entirely complete, so his birthday will be the day he arrived.
