1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you display your dolls?

Oct 2, 2011

    1. I keep them away from direct sunlight, and I enjoy to have my dolls everywhere around, so they have no real spot, where they have to be, they sit randomly, and their position is changing :) But always I try to avoid sunlight, so I can prevent yellowing. It would be sad not to have them around and keep them in boxey, for me.

    2. I keep them on my three bookshelves stacked together (borders shelves that I bought off on Craigslist after the store closed down in my town. I have 6 in my house). They dominate the top shelve while books and other stuff below them and my final fantasy VII play art collections above them on a separate wall shelf. They're in my room on display, fully dressed, even tho one is a floating head. I like to look upon them daily because they are inspiration to my stories and dreams. I rarely open my curtains and I have those thermal/blackout curtains because I live in Alaska. So far, few of my dolls has yellowed but the yellowing were mellow and nice tone. Why hide your creations, I like them on full display. Maybe someday I'll have them moved to living room when I get those ikea glass shelves (so want them but no ikea up north).

    3. I usually keep my dolls dressed and sitting out around my room. I store their extra stuff and certificates in the boxes, which I keep in the closet somewhere. ^^

    4. I keep them in their boxes most of the time. I plan to display them someday, but where I'm currently at my apartment is really sunny during the day and I don't want to expose them to sunlight, especially if I'm not there to enjoy them. So for now they live in their boxes and I pull them out when I feel like playing with them.

    5. Oh yeah, and the other reason I like to keep them put away is if they're out, then I'll be a huge perfectionist about them being posed nicely all the time, and then I won't want to touch them because it will be a ton of work to set them back up perfectly again lolol
