How do you feel about fantasy hair colors?

Apr 25, 2013

    1. I think it depends on the sculpt :) I love that it is so many colors to choose from.

    2. I'm very torn about this. On one hand I'm drawn to the fantasy colors, like a squirrel to shiny objects. However, I have yet to buy a fantasy-colored (pink in particular) wig because I sense I'd grow tired of it.

    3. The fantasy colors work perfectly for the characters I'm working on at the moment. Two of them have blue hair, one has green and pink, the other has grey (he's 20 so grey is fantasy in this case). Although I'm having trouble finding a dark blue msd wig anywhere.

    4. I love both too! I especially loves pink :D! But the problem is sometime my doll doesn't fit well. Like Person; I love orange, but that colour doesn't fit well on me. Its the matter that choose the colour I like or the colour fit well. Since I choose former one for me, I choose later one for my dolls lol

    5. I really like collecting wigs! So fantasy colors are a must for me. :)

    6. I go with the colours I like! I have both a pink and deep chestnut brown for my girl. :)

    7. I don't have any characters in mind who would have fantasy colors, and I generally disliked all those wild blue, green and other unnaturally colored wigs... until I saw a bunch of Minifees with fantasy-colored hair. The owner clearly had a lot of fun making those characters. So I still don't have any use for such colorful things, but I appreciate them a lot more.

    8. Both the dolls I have with wigs are fantasy colors. Ones a long plum color with light pink and blue underneath. The other is a short dark gray and teal. I love the odd colored wigs. I own plenty of wigs for myself and most are natural colors. My own hair now is super long with a stripe and the ends all teal. :D

    9. Personally, I like both, although the fantasy hair colours that I really like are pink, purple and other such pastel-y colors. xD
I think that it just depends on the doll if he/she can pull it off. I think it's better if the color kind of suits a doll's eyebrows as well.
      This is sort of weird but, it kinda bothers me when the hair color of a doll and its eyebrows are obviously different colors. ;;
Anyway, it also depends on the quality of the wig as well, whether it'll suit a doll or not, natural hair color or otherwise.

    10. I love fantasy hair colors...but it depends on the sculpt and character. Some of my dolls who fit the fantasy color very well:

    11. In my opinion, a fantasy wig would look good on a doll if it matches that doll's sculpt and face-up. I believe that the doll's personality should also be accounted for. Personally, I'm not a big fan of fantasy colors. I'm simply not drawn to them unless they really fit the doll. Most of the characters I'm basing my future dolls on do not have alternative-colored hair. There is only one doll on my wish list that I think would look good with white hair, and that's Momotree's Lucy in tan skin. But that's it...for now, at least.

    12. I prefer unnatural colors on dolls as well in real life. Thanks god for hair dye.

    13. I think fantasy wigs are pretty cool :) depends on the character I want though.

    14. Your dolls look amazing!!!! They're seriously rocking dem wigs :)

    15. I love fantasy colors, especially for a doll that's supposed to have a fairy/elf/mermaid aesthetic. Long, curly, blue or green mohair wigs are my favorite!

    16. Personally I prefer fantasy colours on fantasy/non human dolls. I have a mint green wig coming for my robot girl but all my other dolls have natural coloured hair. It depends on the doll too, some look good with crazy coloured hair, others don't pull it off so well.

    17. Since some of the characters i am trying to shell all seem to have both a natural color and a fantasy color i would have to say i like them both. Sometimes the fantasy colors can help bring out a personality in a doll, sometimes more natural colors do, I personally think it all depends on the doll and on the person molding the personality of said doll *^-^*

    18. I like fantasy hair colors when the clothing/makeup is more fantastical to match, or is otherwise more "extreme" style.

    19. It's not my style. But if you could do a fantasy character or a colorefull character you need to have a adequacy's wigs.

    20. It depends on the doll. I ordered a pale blue/lavender wig for one of my first Pukifees, thought afterwards I might get sick of it in a hurry, and ordered a blonde one. Nope. The blue-ish one was perfect for her. I have a turquoise one earmarked for an incoming doll.

Here's Aura in her wig. I've found that any color that doesn't go with the wig wouldn't look good on her even if she had a more neutral wig on, so it works nicely for her.
