Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. How do you feel about fantasy hair colors?

    1. While most of my dolls have natural-colored hair, I do like fantasy colors too! But I'm yet another one of these people who has fantasy-colored hair in real life. XD (Rich jewel-tone deep garnet at the moment...) There are not enough dark, color-saturated options out there for my personal taste, though. Deep wine colors, indigo, dark emerald, rubies, amethyst purples...most are too bright or too pastel for my group.

    2. I definitely prefer fantasy colors I just can't get enough of them. Natural colors are great sometimes but most of the time I lean towards fantasy colors

    3. I LOVE Fantasy colors :D Most of my dolls have them.
      But it still depends on the doll itself. I have two "normal" SD dolls and both have dark brown hair, which looks best on them.
      My little soomies have mohair with a gradient in more moderate fantasy colors (so not too bright)
      and my other two have 3color wigs xD one green-blue-yellow and one yellow-pink-purple.

      Most of my dolls would pull of normal colors though, I just love them more with colors ^^

    5. Well I like "fantasy" colours when they are pastels because it's pretty and not aggressive to the eye (I like the leeke wigs, for example), for the rest I stick to normal colors like blonde or brown with the exception of white or silver wigs, that I love, but I'm not sure these qualify as ''fantasy" since they do exist IRL.

    7. I used to be all for fantasy colors but over time I changed most of my dolls over to more natural color. My DD Miho is a dark lavender color and its perfect so that will porbably be the only one that never will change.

    8. I think I prefer them. I have one wine, one red and black, and will soon have one purple and another with blue. I also like fantasy eye colors as well. I guess I just prefer things a bit out of the ordinary :)

    9. I don't really mind fantasy colours. The only things I consider when choosing a wig are their quality and whether they clash with the colourscheme of my doll's outfit.

    10. It depends on how it looks on the doll, especially regarding the skin tone, but while I love fantasy hair colors I prefer them to be slightly muted or a darker hue... not at all into bright or neon colors tbh.

    11. Well, considering that my hair used to be bright purple and is currently black/bright red, I don't mind fantasy colors XD. Still, there is only one doll who has an unnaturally coloured wig in my collection. Their clothes have muted colours and the regular wigs are often too bright in contrast. If I can find a weird color that matches their look and face-up, then I would probably change their current wig with that. Geez, I'm picky.

    12. I suppose it's kind of weird, but I only like fantasy hair colors on my dolls if they have died their hair, and not if the fantasy color is "natural." That being said, most of my dolls have natural hair colors, with the exception of a few dolls who have streaks of fantasy color.

    14. I LOVE them. I have to stop myself from buying the funky colors all the time! I am trying now to get more natural color wigs. I am always dressing my dolls in things I wish I could wear! Pink and blue hair is deff one of those things!

    15. I lurve fantasy hair colours, non of my BJD's have natural coloured hair. In particular I like two tonal wigs or those with a mixture of colours. Unfortunately I find it very difficult to find the types of wigs i'm after. Personally I find its much easier to get hold of natural coloured wigs but they don't float my boat lol.

    18. I love fantasy colors, but I have very few character I want to shell that have unnatural hair colors...I do have a couple plans that involve odd colors which I'm rather excited about.

    19. I tend to only like fantasy hair colors on fantasy dolls and more natural hair colors on realistic sculpts but there are always exceptions to my usual preference!
