How do you feel about fantasy hair colors?

Apr 25, 2013

    1. I like both! I tend to gravitate toward natural colours more just because I feel like they would suit more easily, if that makes sense? :nowords: Fantasy colours, to me, feel like something that would have to be matched with a very particular doll and would have to match their personality?

    2. I love fantasy haircolors! I can appreciate natural colored hair but I feel like an exotic color really pops!

    3. I prefer fantasy colors because i find natural colors kinda boring to be honest. To me fantasy colors makes a doll stand out and look more unique. I its not everyday that see a person with red or blue hair.

    4. I generally prefer unnatural colours! But sometimes a natural colour is called for :'3 Depends on the dolls character tbh.

    5. I like the fantasy color wigs. I buy both natural and fantasy colored wigs. You never know what wig looks great on your doll until you try them on.

    6. Personally I'm inclined towards pastels and so I love seeing unusual hair colors for dolls!

    7. i think fantasy colors for wigs are the cutest!

    8. it depends to the doll i guess and the face up...

    9. I like fantasy haircolors! Like seeing them on dolls

    10. I like fantasy hair colors, but only a few of my (planned) dolls have fantasy hair colors, and even then it's just white :XD:
I did consider if I should get a random doll just for the purpose of buying pretty fantasy colored wigs. But I don't know. It seems like an expensive idea :sweat

    11. As you can see by my avatar I do like fantasy colors but for the most part my dolls all have natural color wigs. The doll in my avatar usually wears a white/blonde wig because of her fabulous skin-tone! I do have some pink and one blue wig but they don't get worn too often.

    12. I wanted all my 1/6 to have different hair colors, according to their color theme, but somehow I landed with all natural hair colors like black, brown, blond and white.. But I've recently stepped out! Now I have a baby kitty angel with strips of pink hair! :kitty1

    13. I'm a huge fan of dolls with natural looks, when they look really lifelike, it can be really beautiful, especially for photography in real world locations.

However, I'm also a big anime fan, so bright purple, pink? Bring it on. Depends on the character and to some extent the doll style I think. Some lend themselves to one style more than others.

    14. I have both, but I prefer natural colors. Natural colors match my dolls most of the time, but not all fantasy colors match them. Actually the faceup style and color of your dolls will affect the result of using fantasy color wigs. My big girl's faceup can't match with blue wigs but looks really good with pink wigs.

    15. I LOVE fantasy colors, especially bright ones. I find natural boring sometimes (no offense) and I like when things stand out, I even dye my own hair weird colors. :XD:

    16. I like two-toned wigs that have a natural colour and a fantasy colour. I don't want my doll to look too supernatural but, I do like punky colours, especially pink and purple. I would dye some of my own hair fantasy colours more often, if bleach didn't dammage it so much.

    17. I tend to give my dolls pretty obvious color palettes so I just go with what goes best with the rest of their look! Finding a certain wig style in a specific unnatural color is such a pain tho :/

    18. I like both! Weird hair colors are fun, but I think dolls with well-done natural aesthetics are amazing.

    19. I do not own one with fantasy colors...yet...but seeing as I have several anthros, it is bound to happen. I like the natural colored wigs for some dolls, and the fantasy colors for others. I dye my hair on occasion, so really have no issue with odd colored hair.

    20. Depends entirely on the doll, but I prefer variety so let's say both.

Right now my own hair is dyed in a rainbow so I'm definitely one to have fun with styles. I have one doll who would be wearing ginger hair if I could find a wig in the right size, one with grey and purple hair, and another coming in who plans to wear pink/purple/blue hair. Some characters definitely pull off bright fantasy colors better than others, and it also has to compliment the faceup. Some just feel more natural.
Overall though I think I'd end up pretty balanced if I had more dolls and swap them around so no preference.
